Okay! I am getting really fed up with all this left-wing dog whistle crap. Yes, crap.

Nothing exacerbates race relations more than accusing white America and convincing black America that there is a range of words that have secret meaning as interpreted by the by a political biased left-wing in order to shamelessly promote racism for crass political advantage.

The meaning of these words is twisted to conform to an equally offensive and utterly preposterous narrative – that most white folks are terrified by what the radical left describes as the “browning of America.” Beliefs in white supremacism are the stock and trade of a very, very, very small fringe on the radical edge of our culture. The vast majority of us are quite okay with all those black, brown, yellow and red Americans. In short, the left uses fallacious redefining of words to support a bogus narrative.

The idea of dog whistle politics has gotten so institutionalized by the left that they have actually written books about it. “Dog Whistle Politics” is actually the name of a book written by Ian Haney-Lopez, a professor at the University of California, Berkley. That figures.

It is said that words have meaning, and indeed they do. You can look them up in a dictionary and find the meaning. So, allow me to make a few things clear to all you arrogant and stridently partisan left-wing activists and politicians who are obsessed with dog whistle propaganda.

NO! I AM NOT WORRIED ABOUT THE GROWING NUMBERS OF MINORITIES THAT ARE BECOMING AMERICAN CITIZENS. AND MY DESIRE FOR LEGAL IMMIGRATION IS NOT A DOG WHISTLE FOR RACISM.

If you oppose allowing ANY foreigners to cross our border illegally for any reason, you are deemed to be a racist according to the left. I believe in immigration and that usually means a lot of people from a lot of countries representing virtually every ethnic group on the face of the earth. BUT … I want a legal process. I want to stop gang bangers, drug cartellians and other criminals for entering – and want them arrested and deported if they do.

I take great pride in the fact that America is a haven for the oppressed and endangered in the world. But, is it too much to ask that they come here to embrace the American culture and to access our opportunity society by being a contributor? Is it too much to ask that they shed their loyalty to a foreign nation they ostensibly reject in favor of pledging loyalty to the culture and laws of their new home?

So please, no more crap about opposition to illegal immigration, chain migration, anchor babies and sanctuary cities being dog whistles for racism. They are policy issues that have no foundation in race. It is about the law, fairness and what is best for the United States people of EVERY background.

NO! THE REFERENCE TO “MOBS” IS NOT A DOG WHISTLE FOR RACISM.

“Mob” is a perfectly good word to describe a group of people whose actions illegally disrupt the civil order and groups of people bent on violence regardless of their ethnicity. It refers to people who loot stores and commit arson in some misguided claim of protesting against social injustice.

The word applies to Antifa, when they smash and vandalize businesses as their preferred form of protest. It applies to #MeToo protestors when they illegally block the halls of Congress – as opposed to their greater numbers of women who properly exercised their right of protest outside the Supreme Court of the Capitol Building.

A mob is a mob regardless of its categorical composition.

NO! A VOTER IDENTIFICATION CARD IS NOT A DOG WHISTLE FOR RACE-BASED VOTER SUPPRESSION.

This is yet another example of why I think minorities – especially blacks – should be really upset with their liberal Democrat friends. Democrats – especially those running the urban political machines that have been segregating and oppressing blacks for generations – see minorities as inferior people. Yep! Less capable.

The entire foundation of the Democrat establishment is based on a belief that black people cannot perform almost anything as well as white people. According to Democrat orthodoxy, blacks need a lower standard in education. They need an entire range of community-wide assistance. They need quotas because blacks cannot compete in the workplace. They need special admission standards to colleges. Etc. Etc. Etc.

According to Democrats – if you really listen to their message – black people are somehow incapable of obtaining some form of identification card. Democrats proffer this ridiculous argument even though the VAST majority of blacks already have photo identification cards that are accepted in polling places. And even if they do not, Democrats believe that blacks are incapable of applying for a free voting ID that is readily available.

Requiring a photo ID to vote is NOT a racial issue. It is a ballot protection issue. It is NOT like the old poll tax or literacy tests that the Democrats imposed on blacks in the old south – where the seemingly general requirements were able to target poor and uneducated black AND WHITE voters – two groups that tended to favor the Republican Party in the days of southern Democrat oppression.

In a recent CNN report, they looked at voter ID requirements in Georgia. They outlined the alleged problem but were unable … incapable … could not find a single person who said that they would be prevented from voting by the ID requirement.

It is the Democrat campaign against voter IDs that is rooted in racism and political cynicism, not those whose only interest is to prevent election fraud.

So, to all you political provocateurs that like to use the term “dog whistle,” let me remind you that a dog whistle is a small tin device that makes a sound that only a dog can hear. People are not dogs. We communicate at a much higher level – and we are able to do so because we understand the meaning of words. It would seem that the only “dogs” hearing those dog whistles are those on the partisan left who keep misinterpreting them.

So, there it ‘tis.
