
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“Border Czar” Tom Homan has warned Minnesota leaders to stop there hateful and divisive rhetoric or there will be “more bloodshed” in their state.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Homan has been making the rounds on news outlets where he has unabashedly blamed Democratic leaders in Minnesota for escalating “hateful rhetoric” after an ICE officer fatally shot 37-year-old Renee Good in Minneapolis.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The pleas from Homan and Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem to turn down the temperature come as Minnesota officials like Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Gov. Tim Walz have accused federal officials of escalating tensions by surging federal agents to the state and refusing to cooperate with state and local officials.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“The hateful rhetoric has caused a lot of this violence,” Homan said in a Sunday interview on “Fox News Sunday” with host Jacqui Heinrich. “So I said way back in March if the hateful rhetoric doesn’t decrease, there will be bloodshed, and, unfortunately, I was right, and it’s not over. There will be more bloodshed unless we decrease the hateful rhetoric.”</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Homan added that “I don’t want to see anybody die,” asking Minnesota leaders to “work with us” despite allegations from Frey and Walz that federal officials have not collaborated with them in investigating the incident.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">While he called the shooting “tragic,” he blamed negative criticism of ICE for the killing during the this and other recent interviews.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“It’s another example of tragedy that follows the hateful rhetoric against ICE, calling them Nazis and racists and Gestapo,” he said. “It just empowers those crazy people on the left … It justifies actions they want to take against ICE.”</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Homan also echoed the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) defense of the officer’s actions, saying he acted in self defense.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“He felt his life was in danger, life of the other officer was in danger, and he used his authority to protect himself and others,” Homan said. “As sad and tragic as it is, the officer made a split-second decision, which I think he was justified in doing.”</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Noem, for her part, told Frey and Walz to “grow up” during a Sunday morning interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union,” alleging the two Democrats have “inflamed the public” and “encouraged the kind of destruction and violence that we’ve seen in Minneapolis these last several days.”</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">She also accused Walz and Frey of “using this as an opportunity to divide” during an interview with Fox’s Maria Bartiromo on her “Sunday Morning Futures” program.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During an appearance, on The Dr. Phil Podcast, Homan urged members of Congress to let the FBI investigate the incident before making accusations.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“Take a breath,” he said. “The FBI will be investigating, local law enforcement will be investigating. There are a lot of videos. There’s a lot of witnesses. There’s probably body cam video.”</p>
