<p>The contest between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump has been full of trash talk&comma; rumor&comma; and lies&period;&nbsp&semi;Just to clear a few things up for you&comma; we stole some fact checks from various places on some of Hillary Clinton&rsquo&semi;s claims&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>1&period; No&comma; Hillary did not apologize for stating that half of Donald Trump&rsquo&semi;s supporters belong in a &ldquo&semi;basket of deplorables&period;&rdquo&semi;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Hillary received serious criticism for her rude comment about Trump supporters and reportedly apologized &ldquo&semi;within hours&period;&&num;8221&semi; What she actually said was that she regrets using the word &ldquo&semi;half&comma;&rdquo&semi; a statement that could be taken to mean she really thinks <em>all<&sol;em> of Trump&&num;8217&semi;s supporters are deplorable&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>2&period; No&comma; Hillary did not have a leadership role in drawing bipartisan congressional support for Bill Clinton&rsquo&semi;s <em>Children&rsquo&semi;s Helath Insurance Program<&sol;em> &lpar;CHIP&rpar;&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Hillary has repeatedly touted her bipartisan leadership role&nbsp&semi;in pushing CHIP through Congress&period; According to the <em>Washington Post<&sol;em>&comma; the real mover here was the late Senator Edward Kennedy &lpar;D-MA&rpar;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>While personal accounts give Hillary some credit for helping her husband with CHIP&comma; &ldquo&semi;she wasn&rsquo&semi;t a legislator&comma; she didn&rsquo&semi;t write the law&comma; and she wasn&rsquo&semi;t the president&comma; so she didn&rsquo&semi;t make the decisions&comma;&rdquo&semi; said Kennedy adviser Nick Littlefield&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Others sources have commented that when Clinton&&num;8217&semi;s overall health plan was rejected&comma; it was a Republican who salvaged children&&num;8217&semi;s health care&comma; and made it a thing&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>3&period; &nbsp&semi;Yes&comma; Hillary does seem to support single-payer healthcare systems&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Donald Trump claimed during Sunday night&rsquo&semi;s presidential debate that Hillary supports single-payer healthcare&period; While Hillary has emphasized &ldquo&semi;fixing&rdquo&semi; Obama&rsquo&semi;s <em>Affordable Care Act<&sol;em>&comma; the recently-leaked excerpts from her private talks with Wall Street elites have her speaking in support of single-payer systems&period; &nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>&nbsp&semi;4&period; Yes&comma; Hillary laughed after defending a child rapist&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>About 40 years ago&comma; Hillary Clinton successfully defended Thomas Alfred Taylor after he raped 12-year-old Kathy Shelton&period; According to video footage&comma; Hillary laughed about the incident during an interview with journalist Roy Reed&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Shelton&rsquo&semi;s injuries were so severe that she was never able to have children&comma; and yet Taylor served only 10 months in jail&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&ldquo&semi;I don&rsquo&semi;t care if Trump said gross things&period; I care that Hillary Clinton lied&comma; terrorized&comma; and mocked me&comma; defending my rapist&comma;&rdquo&semi; tweeted Shelton on October 9th&comma; 2016&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>5&period; Yes&comma; Hillary refuses to say the words &ldquo&semi;radical Islamic terrorism&period;&rdquo&semi;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Trump has criticized Hillary and Obama&rsquo&semi;s refusal to use the phrase &ldquo&semi;radical Islamic terrorism&comma;&rdquo&semi; saying during Sunday night&rsquo&semi;s debate that &ldquo&semi;you have to be able to state what the problem is or at least say the name&period;&rdquo&semi;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Hillary has stated that she prefers not to use that phrase because it &ldquo&semi;sounds like we are declaring war against a religion&period;&rdquo&semi;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>6&period; Yes&comma; Hillary was in office when President Obama gave the &ldquo&semi;red line&rdquo&semi; speech&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Hillary recently denied that she was in office when President Obama cited Assad&rsquo&semi;s use of chemical weapons against civilians as a &ldquo&semi;red line&rdquo&semi; that could not be crossed without consequence&period;&nbsp&semi;Obama delivered the speech in August of 2012&comma; and Hillary served as Secretary of State from Jan&period; 21st&comma; 2009 &ndash&semi; February 1st&comma; 2013&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Hillary may not have been in office when Assad used chemical weapons for a second time in 2015&comma; but she certainly was in office during the &ldquo&semi;red line&rdquo&semi; speech and Obama&rsquo&semi;s controversial refusal to punish the Syrian dictator&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Editor&&num;8217&semi;s note&colon;<&sol;strong> We have asked the question of ourselves &&num;8220&semi;what has Hillary done&&num;8221&semi; and still cannot answer it&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
