The contest between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump has been full of trash talk, rumor, and lies. ;Just to clear a few things up for you, we stole some fact checks from various places on some of Hillary Clinton’s claims:

1. No, Hillary did not apologize for stating that half of Donald Trump’s supporters belong in a “basket of deplorables.”

Hillary received serious criticism for her rude comment about Trump supporters and reportedly apologized “within hours.” What she actually said was that she regrets using the word “half,” a statement that could be taken to mean she really thinks all of Trump’s supporters are deplorable. ;

2. No, Hillary did not have a leadership role in drawing bipartisan congressional support for Bill Clinton’s Children’s Helath Insurance Program (CHIP).

Hillary has repeatedly touted her bipartisan leadership role ;in pushing CHIP through Congress. According to the Washington Post, the real mover here was the late Senator Edward Kennedy (D-MA).

While personal accounts give Hillary some credit for helping her husband with CHIP, “she wasn’t a legislator, she didn’t write the law, and she wasn’t the president, so she didn’t make the decisions,” said Kennedy adviser Nick Littlefield.

Others sources have commented that when Clinton’s overall health plan was rejected, it was a Republican who salvaged children’s health care, and made it a thing.

3. ;Yes, Hillary does seem to support single-payer healthcare systems. ;

Donald Trump claimed during Sunday night’s presidential debate that Hillary supports single-payer healthcare. While Hillary has emphasized “fixing” Obama’s Affordable Care Act, the recently-leaked excerpts from her private talks with Wall Street elites have her speaking in support of single-payer systems. ;

;4. Yes, Hillary laughed after defending a child rapist.

About 40 years ago, Hillary Clinton successfully defended Thomas Alfred Taylor after he raped 12-year-old Kathy Shelton. According to video footage, Hillary laughed about the incident during an interview with journalist Roy Reed. ;

Shelton’s injuries were so severe that she was never able to have children, and yet Taylor served only 10 months in jail. ;

“I don’t care if Trump said gross things. I care that Hillary Clinton lied, terrorized, and mocked me, defending my rapist,” tweeted Shelton on October 9th, 2016. ;

5. Yes, Hillary refuses to say the words “radical Islamic terrorism.” ;

Trump has criticized Hillary and Obama’s refusal to use the phrase “radical Islamic terrorism,” saying during Sunday night’s debate that “you have to be able to state what the problem is or at least say the name.” ;

Hillary has stated that she prefers not to use that phrase because it “sounds like we are declaring war against a religion.” ;

6. Yes, Hillary was in office when President Obama gave the “red line” speech.

Hillary recently denied that she was in office when President Obama cited Assad’s use of chemical weapons against civilians as a “red line” that could not be crossed without consequence. ;Obama delivered the speech in August of 2012, and Hillary served as Secretary of State from Jan. 21st, 2009 – February 1st, 2013. ;

Hillary may not have been in office when Assad used chemical weapons for a second time in 2015, but she certainly was in office during the “red line” speech and Obama’s controversial refusal to punish the Syrian dictator. ;

Editor’s note: We have asked the question of ourselves “what has Hillary done” and still cannot answer it.
