Once again, the media has failed to point out a Democratic candidate’s slip-up in the midst of an intense Presidential campaign. Recently, Democratic nominee hopeful Hilary Clinton insisted she did not blame the 2012 Benghazi attacks, which left four Americans dead, on an anti-Muslim video which was released prior to the attack.

Clinton recently appeared on ABC News’ This Week with George Stephanopoulos, where she denied having told the victims’ family members that the attack was a direct result of the anti-Muslim video. She claims the entire situation was a “fast-moving series of events in the fog of war”.

Despite her insistence that she did not blame the attack on the video, many of the victim’s family members have another side to this story. The mother of Sean Smith, one of the victims of this attack, recalls her experience with Hilary. “I gave Hilary a big hug and shook her hand. And she said we are going to have the film maker arrested who was responsible for the death of my son…She said the film maker who was responsible for the death of my son.”

Clinton’s absurd recollection of her statements after these attack put Americans in a situation where we are expected to believe her, a hopeful Presidential candidate, or the multiple family members of the victims who all recall her making these claims about the video.

But these family members’ statements are not the only proof the American people have that Clinton is lying. In 2012, Clinton also placed the blame solely on the making of this video, both in a State Department briefing meeting and a meeting with the Moroccan Foreign Minister Saad-Eddine Al-Othmani. In partnership with Obama, Clinton also approved an expenditure of $70,000 on a public service announcement to be broadcast in Pakistan condemning the content of the anti-Islam video that precipitated the attack. Why go to all of this trouble if Clinton did not believe the video caused the attack?

Although the media is failing to cover this story and call Clinton out on a blatant lie, it is clear she is attempting to rewrite history and correct her mistakes in an attempt to win the Presidential nomination.
