Harris was never the border czar.  WHAT?

As part of the reinvention of Kamal Harris, it is said that she was never the “border czar” – implying that she had nothing to do with the chaos at the border.

First of all, that comes across as an admission that President Biden’s border policy is a disaster.  She wants no part of it.  Essentially, she is throwing her boss under the bus.  If the Biden/Harris border policy was a success, she would not be disassociating.

To wash her hands of all that crisis at the border, the Harris spin is that she could not be the “border czar” because there is no such official position on the White House organization chart.  (Memo to Harris promoters: The term is just an expression, not an office.  America does not have real czars.  Geez!)

What is true is that Harris was given the border issue as an assignment from Biden.  Not only was that fact reported widely in the newspapers for the past four years, but never until today did she or her people deny it.  If she was not put in charge of the border issue one might expect Harris to correct the tens of thousands – maybe hundreds of thousands — of inaccurate reports – especially those criticizing her mishandling of the border crisis.  But nooooo.

In the face of the absurdity of the effort to disassociate Harris from the Biden/Harris’ most disastrous domestic policy, the new spin is that .. okay, she was assigned to deal with the border, but only to give South and Central American nations taxpayer money to discourage their citizens from migrating north.  Well … she failed at that, too.  And apparently, she was not aware that a lot of those illegal border crossers come from other parts of the world – including China and the Middle East.  (It is probably a good thing Harris did not know that or we would have been sending them taxpayer money, too.)

In all fairness, we should point out that shortly after she was named “border czar,” Harris told potential migrants not to come to America.  That was it. The beginning and end of her efforts to secure the border.  And we know how effective that was.

When asked by Lester Holt in an interview why she had not been to the border (Holt apparently thought she was Biden’s border czar), she said that she had not been to Europe either – and then cackled.

Of course, this is only one example of the re-inventing of Kamala Harris. That is because the old and real Harris is unelectable.  In a sense, we are seeing a second switch-a-roo in this election season — Biden to the old Harris to the new Harris.

While the talk is about a new and more moderate Harris, it is merely a mask to disguise the old Harris.  She is still using Hamas propaganda to make Israel the villain.  She still supports the violent protestors who Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu correctly called “useful idiots.”

On the wider screen, Harris is still peddling everything for everybody policies – universal healthcare, universal childcare, paid leave, minimum wage increases, late-term abortions, student debt forgiveness, supporting violent protests on the left, replacing police with social workers, men in women’s sports, tax increases, regulatory expansion and ever nutty and divisive woke policy.

Harris is on record on all those issues.  The only question is whether Democrats will get away with yet another massive deception on the American people.  Harris is no more the moderate they now describe than Biden was the super senior they tried to pass off over the past year.

In terms of the philosophic continuum, Harris is the most radical left candidate ever put up by one of the two major parties – even surpassing Senator George McGovern in 1972.  We can only hope to have a similar result.

So, there ‘tis.
