George Soros Funds Women's Protests

<p>Hundreds of thousands of people gathered in Washington to take part in the Women&rsquo&semi;s March on January 21st &ndash&semi; the day after President Trump&rsquo&semi;s inauguration&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The event&comma; which bills itself as a &ldquo&semi;grassroots&rdquo&semi; movement&comma; has since come under fire for pushing a left-wing agenda that goes far beyond women&rsquo&semi;s rights&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>Enter liberal billionaire investor George Soros&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&ldquo&semi;There have been many false reports about George Soros and the Open Society Foundations funding protests in the wake of the US presidential elections&comma;&rdquo&semi; said a Soros spokeswoman&period; &ldquo&semi;There is no truth to these reports&period;&rdquo&semi;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>According to a recent report published by the Media Research Center &lpar;MRC&rpar;&comma; however&comma; Soros has funneled nearly &dollar;250 million into Women&rsquo&semi;s March partners in recent years&period; Soros also contributed to &ldquo&semi;Day Without a Woman&rdquo&semi; &ndash&semi; a worldwide strike that encourages women to stay home from work on International Women&rsquo&semi;s Day&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Over 400 organizations are listed as &ldquo&semi;partners&rdquo&semi; on the Women&rsquo&semi;s March website&period; Several of these&comma; like MoveOn&period;org and AFL-CIO&comma; have deep ties to the Democratic Party&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Women&rsquo&semi;s March partners that received funding from Soros and his organizations include the ACLU &lpar;&dollar;37 million&rpar;&comma; Planned Parenthood&comma; Human Rights Watch &lpar;&dollar;32 million&rpar;&comma; and MoveOn&period;org&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Former WSJ reporter Asra Nomani argues that the Women&rsquo&semi;s March wasn&rsquo&semi;t about women&rsquo&semi;s rights&comma; it was &ldquo&semi;a march for women who are anti-Trump&period;&rdquo&semi;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&ldquo&semi;As someone who voted for Trump&comma; I don&rsquo&semi;t feel welcome&comma; nor do many other women who reject the liberal identity-politics that is the core underpinnings of the march&comma;&rdquo&semi; writes Nomani&period; &ldquo&semi;So far&comma; making white women feel unwelcome&comma; nixing women who oppose abortion&comma; and hijacking the agenda&period;&rdquo&semi;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Pro-life women in particular are frustrated with the Women&rsquo&semi;s March for advertising &ldquo&semi;safe&comma; legal&comma; affordable abortion&rdquo&semi; as a key principle of the event&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&ldquo&semi;While Planned Parenthood partnered with and sponsored the Women&rsquo&semi;s March&comma; at least two pro-life groups were removed from the march&rsquo&semi;s &lsquo&semi;partners&rsquo&semi; page&comma;&rdquo&semi; reads the MRC report&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>George Soros gave Planned Parenthood over &dollar;1 million to help it overcome the &ldquo&semi;selling fetuses for money&rdquo&semi; scandal last year&period; He has donated over &dollar;20 million to the abortion provider since 2000&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
