Fox News: Congress Blocking NSA from Sharing Intel Docs on Trump Wiretap

The National Security Agency told Fox News that it has intelligence documents to share regarding the information collected on President Donald Trump and his team, but is being block from doing so from the Dan Coates Director of National Intelligence.

“Fox has learned that the NSA is prepared to share the documents with the intelligence committees. But DNI is blocking that transfer for now,” tweeted Chad Pergram, an award-winning journalist who covers Congress for Fox News. “Nunes on if docs on Trump intercepts would be available this wk: I hope so..it’s a slow process.”

Coates, who was nominated as the director of national intelligence in January, has allegedly said that the report is false.

“If confirmed as Director of National Intelligence, he will provide unwavering leadership that the entire intelligence community can respect, and will spearhead my administration’s ceaseless vigilance against those who seek to do us harm,” said Trump back in January.

While Devin Nunes, House Intelligence Committee Chairman is amidst controversy. Last week, he announced that it is true that the intelligence community did inadvertently collect communications of Donald Trump and his team.

Allegedly, Nunes did not discuss this with other members of his committee after making an unscheduled visit to the White House the night before making this big announcement. Several democrats have requested that Nunes recuse himself.

He has yet to provide documented evidence showing that intelligence officials did spy on the Trump camp, even if it was “unknowingly.” This may be because others are blocking this effort.

He looks like the NSA may be backing Nunes claims up, but the agency is not allowed to prove it.

Nunes also said he would continue to lead the investigation on Russia’s meddling with the U.S. election. He means business.

“We’re beginning to figure out who’s actually serious about the investigation because it appears like the Democrats aren’t really serious about this investigation,” said Nunes to reporters. So, at the end of the day here, we’re going to get to the truth, we’re going to find out who’s actually doing a real investigation. I mean, we always want to keep the committee bipartisan. But at the end of the day, we’re going to do an investigation with or without them, and if they want to participate that’s fine, but the facts of the matter are pretty clear.”

Author’s note: At this point, Chad Pergram’s claim about the NSA being halted by Coates is all speculation. He is a reputable source though. However, everyone is asking the same question: why haven’t documents been released proving Trump’s “wiretap” claims? Is the intelligence community halting this?
