Not since the Russian collaboration hoax, the Steele Dossier hoax and the Hunter Biden laptop-a-Russian-dirty-trick hoax have Democrats engaged in such a major bogus narrative as they have with the Epstein case. ; As usual, the success of making political hot air seem like substance has been due to the complicity of a corrupt news media – operating as a propaganda wing of the Democratic Party.

In the theater of modern politics, few stories have been as persistently distorted and sensationalized against President Trump as the Jeffrey Epstein saga. What began as a legitimate criminal investigation into a convicted sex offender with ties to powerful figures has morphed into a political cudgel—wielded not in pursuit of justice, but in service of partisan warfare. At the center of this distortion is the persistent and unfounded implication that Trump was somehow complicit in Epstein’s criminal activities. It is a narrative that is devoid of evidence and defies logic.

Let us be clear. ;Epstein’s crimes were heinous and real, his victims deserve justice, and anyone complicit in the revealed abuses should be held accountable. But the allegations that Trump is secretly entangled in Epstein’s criminal web—despite years of scrutiny, investigations, and media obsession—are not just unsupported. ; They border on political fantasy and wishful thinking — kept alive by innuendo, partisan desperation and a compromised news media.

The Illogic of the Cover-Up Theory

The assumption driving much of the public speculation is that damning information about Trump, Bill Clinton, and other elites is being covered up—perhaps buried in sealed court documents, redacted flight logs or unreleased government files. But this theory collapses under the weight of logic.

If there were prosecutable evidence implicating Bill Clinton, does anyone seriously believe Trump officials would have kept it secret? ;If Trump’s team had access to anything indictable regarding Clinton, it would have been leaked and plastered across every conservative news outlet in the country. Even the left-wing press would have had to reluctantly cover it.

Conversely, if there were incriminating evidence against Trump, the Biden administration had every incentive – and four years — to release it. And they most certainly would have. ;If there was a smoking gun linking Trump to Epstein’s crimes, it would have been political malpractice not to reveal it. God knows, Biden &; Company used every opportunity to drag Trump into court. ; They would not have passed on this one. ; Yet no such evidence has ever emerged. No charges. No leaks. No credible accusations.

I feel fairly confident that there is no prosecutable evidence that neither Trump nor Clinton were culpable of criminal activities with Epstein. ; Were they associated with Epstein? ; Of course they were. ; He was a high roller who traveled among the elite. ; Lots of famous, rich and powerful people rubbed elbows with Epstein, were photographed with him and even traveled as guests on his airplane. ; However, none of that is evidence of a crime.

Silence Speaks Volumes

In view of the hyper interest Democrats and the left-wing media are giving this matter, it is noteworthy that during Biden’s presidency there has been no Democrat clamor to release the Epstein files. No sweeping transparency push. No urgent demand for full disclosure. Why? Because the files likely contain nothing politically useful. If they did, they’d be out already. ; The Epstein case is being used as a political cudgel – another Democrat bogus narrative.

What do they expect to find in the tens of thousands of pages of evidence, testimony and videos that is not already known? ; Apart from Trump and Clinton, are there the names of other prominent or not so prominent individuals who were complicit in Epstein’s depraved activities? ; If not, there is no reason to reveal anything more. ; Salacious public interests or political motivations are not sufficient to break the rules and traditions concerning such information.

We have to keep in mind why such information is not routinely revealed by prosecutorial offices – including the FBI, the Department of Justice and the courts. ; Releasing potentially sensitive information about individuals not subject to prosecution would violate the privacy and longstanding legal norms. Grand jury testimony is secret by design. It protects the innocent, preserves the integrity of investigations, and prevents reputational harm to those not charged with crimes.

The FBI and Justice Department have long had policies of not making public information about individuals not under investigation or being targeted. ; It is a matter of law and policy — and it applies equally, whether the subject is Trump, Clinton or drill press operator in Butte. Montana.

Victim Protection

Then there is the protection of victims. ; It has been a longstanding policy that unless it is absolutely necessary, victims should be protected by anonymity. ; ; In the Epstein case, some victims are demanding release of all the information while others prefer to remain in the background. ; Unless it is purely partisan motivation, it is difficult to understand why victims would like to have the files made public. ; If they had information against Trump, Clinton or others, they should have provided that information to authorities already. ; They could still name names publicly. ; But they have not.

Attorney James Marsh, who represents several victims, said they want “accountability and transparency”. Those sound like worthy goals, but without specifics of the “accountability” and the specific benefits of “transparency,” the words ring hollow.

Victims who have gone public say that releasing all the documents would provide closure or establish their veracity. It seems that ripping the band-aid off the wounds would retard and delay closure – as some victims have said. And it seems that the credibility of their testimonies is well established in the public mind. ; Neither of those claims justify abandoning the long-established policies and traditions in such cases.

Political Hot Air Balloon

So why does the Epstein-Trump narrative persist? ;Because it’s politically useful. It allows Democrats and their media allies to keep Trump tethered to scandal, even in the absence of evidence. It’s a way to smear by association, to suggest guilt through proximity, and to keep the public distracted from the Democrats unpopular issues and falling popularity.

It’s the same tactic used during the Russia collusion hoax. Years of baseless accusations, headlines, investigations, and breathless speculation—all culminating in a report that found no criminal conspiracy with the Russians by Trump or any other American. But the damage was done. The bogus narrative had served its purpose.

Same with the false narrative about the legitimacy of the Hunter Biden laptop. ; Democrats pushed off a potentially election-changing scandal by floating the false narrative that the content of the laptop was a Russian dirty trick. ; Thanks to media complicity (again), it, too, worked – pushing the truth past the election.

The Epstein story is now following the same arc. The facts are secondary. The goal is to keep Trump in the shadow of suspicion, to imply that something must be there, even if no one has been able to find or reveal it.

The Real Victims

Lost in all this political theater are the actual victims of Epstein’s abuse. Their stories deserve to be heard, their abusers brought to justice. If there are stories that have not been heard – and culprits not yet held accountable – let the victims say so. ; State the accusations and name names. ; But when the case becomes a partisan weapon, the pursuit of justice is replaced by the pursuit of headlines. The victims become props in a political drama, their suffering overshadowed by vacuous speculation and smear campaigns.

This is the true tragedy of the Epstein narrative. It’s no longer about accountability. It’s about optics. It’s about keeping Trump on the defensive, Clinton out of the spotlight, and the public distracted from the absence of real evidence.

A Call for Clarity

It is time to deflate the political hot air balloon. The Epstein case should be treated with the seriousness it deserves—not as a partisan bludgeon, but as a legal matter governed by evidence, due process, and the rule of law – such as it is.

If there are indictable offenses, prosecute them. If not, stop pretending there is a conspiracy to hide them. The truth is not a political weapon. It’s a responsibility. ;And in the case of Epstein, it’s something that has been repeatedly abused. ; It is long past the time to move on to something tangible … something real … something worthy of all the news coverage.

So, there ‘tis.

Epstein issue is more political hot air than substance
