Di Nero is Getting Nuttier by the Minute

&NewLine;<p>There is an element within the Trump Derangement Syndrome folks that is living in some sort of fantasy land – personified by actor Robert De Niro&period; They see Trump as so dangerous that he must be removed from office immediately&period; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;We cannot allow him to continue in office&comma;” they chime&period; They reject the idea of Trump serving out his term&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>It goes beyond De Niro&period; The extreme and irrational hysterical coalition goes beyond one nutcase actor&period; It is found all over the Internet – including one of my college classmates on Facebook&period; He wants Trump out immediately&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>I find the messaging quite disturbing since there is only one way that they can achieve their goal of immediate removal &&num;8212&semi; assassination&period; And there is no doubt that their rhetoric promotes the idea&comma; even if unstated&period; By claiming Trump is an existential threat to the Republic – and all who call it home – they can create the necessity of removing him <strong>by any means<&sol;strong> in the minds of those who are seventy-five cents short of a dollar&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The solicitation goes on to say that &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Donald Trump is growing more dangerous by the day&comma; so Robert De Niro issued a WAKE-UP CALL to Democrats&nbsp&semi;EVERYWHERE&period;” To do what&quest; Remove him <strong>by any means<&sol;strong>&quest; We have seen the results of that kind of incitement in two assassination attempts&comma; several aborted attempts and an uptick in death threats against the President&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Yes&comma; there are other options – impeachment with a conviction by the Senate and the 25<sup>th<&sol;sup> Amendment&period; De Niro &amp&semi; Company should know&comma; however&comma; that those options are non-starters&period; There is no way that the Senate – even if Democrats were to take control – will vote to remove Trump from office&period; The odds are within a sliver of zero&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>As far as the 25<sup>th<&sol;sup> Amendment is concerned&comma; the odds are at absolute zero&period; It would require the support of the Cabinet and Vice President&period; And even then&comma; it is only temporary&period; The President can reclaim the office&period; Since it has never been tested&comma; the 25<sup>th<&sol;sup> Amendment is a constitutional minefield&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&lpar;The 25<sup>th<&sol;sup> Amendment has prompted an interesting question&period; If a President’s second term is cut short&comma; is he eligible to run again&quest; We have a possible precedent&period; When a Vice President takes over upon the death of a President&comma; it counts as a &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;term” for the Vice President if it occurs in the first two years of the deceased President’s term&period; But it is considered a first term for the Vice President if the ascension occurs in the last two years&period; It is an issue that the Supreme Court would resolve&period; But I digress&rpar;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Di Nero is venting his spleen in a fundraising email from something called the StopTrumpPAC &&num;8212&semi; an affiliate of the Progressive Turnout Project&period; They are seeking petition signatures and&comma; of course&comma; money to remove Trump ostensibly by the 25<sup>th<&sol;sup> Amendment even though they most certainly know that will never happen – and certainly not as the result of some hopeless meaningless petition drive&period; One could reasonably argue that the StopTrumpPAC solicitation is outright fraudulent – asking for money for something that will never happen&period; It is no more credible than raising money to have the tooth fairy take Trump away in his sleep&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p> The solicitation reads&colon; &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;So&comma; if we fall a single signature short&comma; our petition will be ignored&period; We’re begging sign now to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Trump from office&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>De Niro says Trump will not voluntarily leave&period; So what comes next&quest;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<figure class&equals;"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full"><img src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;punchingbagpost&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2026&sol;03&sol;image&period;png" alt&equals;"" class&equals;"wp-image-35191"&sol;><&sol;figure>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>De Niro and the folks at the StopTrumpPAC will swear they are not promoting violence&comma; even if it is the only logical conclusion&period; They know the 25<sup>th<&sol;sup> Amendment will not accomplish their mission&period; So&comma; what is left&quest; Any low IQ nutcase with a gun and figure that out&period; And so can De Niro&period; Personally&comma; I think he would be perfectly happy if a deranged left-wing whacko hitman &lpar;or woman&rpar; took out Trump&period; And then they would say it is his own fault&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>If there is a dangerous character in the mix&comma; it is not Trump&period; It is De Niro&period; Perhaps it is all those mobsters he played on screen have embedded in his brain and make him the pugnacious Mafia-style thug he has become in real life&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Many people on both sides talk about the need to tone down the rhetoric&period; Apparently&comma; De Niro did not get the memo&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>So&comma; there &OpenCurlyQuote;tis&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
