
<p>For years, Democrats have claimed that they did not support open borders. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas recently declared that the American southern border is NOT open. ; Vice President Harris told migrants that they should not come to the border because the border is NOT open. ; President Biden has repeatedly claimed that he does not support open borders. ; Those – and scores of other statements like them &#8212; are nothing more than cover for the Democrats’ longstanding open border policy. ; Basically, they are bald faced lies.</p>



<p>As Democrat leaders pay lip service to securing the border, they implement policies that signal to potential migrants that the borders are wide open. ; If you come, you will get to stay in America – legally or illegally. ; There is in fact an underground system to settle illegal aliens in diverse locations. ; There are civic and religious organizations that will find housing and serve as welfare consultants so that illegal aliens can get a full range of taxpayer benefits. ; ;</p>



<p>Under Biden policies, illegal immigrants will be protected FROM law enforcement – ranging from limitation on the enforcement responsibilities of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), mandated lack of cooperation with local law enforcement and sanctuary polices in Democrat-controlled communities.</p>



<p>Democrats claim that those who are allowed to remain in America must still be vetted – and are required to appear before immigration courts. ; The dates given for such hearings, however, are usually several years in the future because of the backlog – and because of the enormous number of people entering America under Democrat open border policies.</p>



<p>Even worse, the vast majority of those who are supposedly required to appear in court to press their case for permanent asylum never show up – and are never tracked down. ; They become just a growing number of illegal immigrants that the Democrats want to grant overarching amnesty and citizenship.</p>



<p>The recent arrival of more than 15,000 migrants – mostly Haitians &#8212; arriving in Del Rio, Texas is the latest and most flagrant example of the Biden open borders policy. ; While Mayorkas talked about deportation as a political sop, the reality is that more than 12,000 of the illegal aliens under the bridge in Del Rio have been disseminated into the American population. ; If the past is prologue, the vast majority of these folks will simply take up residency without fear of deportation.  ; Many will be birthing “anchor babies” to enhance their defense against deportation. ; Many of the women at the border are pregnant already.</p>



<p>Those who still want to come to America for a better life – some for jobs, but many for the welfare benefits – know that what the Democrats say and what they do is far different. ; They know that if they arrive at the American border with Mexico, they have almost a 100 percent chance of entering the United States – with only a nominal chance of being deported. ; And if they are among the few that are deported, they simply need to come back a second time. ; That is also true of those deemed to be unqualified for asylum or are for various reasons deemed to be undesireables.</p>



<p>That is why between 20,000 and 30,000 foreign citizens are currently amassing for the next trek to the border. ; One does not need a crystal ball to see the future crisis as tens of thousands show up … again. ; It is not unreasonable to believe that with Democrats in charge of immigration, we will see a future with hundreds of thousands of people showing up at the border. ; Not only is the border open, but all the enticements remain.</p>



<p>We have laws on the books that address the proper and legal manner to enter the United States. ; Democrats are simply refusing to enforce the laws. ; They will not build the wall. ; They will not hire more border patrol and immigration judges. ; They will not deport. ; Instead, they demonize those who are commissioned to carry out the laws –ICE, the border patrol and local law enforcement long the border.</p>



<p>Most of those arriving at the border are hardship cases of one sort or another. ; That does not mean that they meet the legal eligibility for asylum. ; Most do not. ; But Democrats ignore those requirements. ; ;</p>



<p>The Democrats’ open border policy does not effectively address disease – specifically Covid – and criminal backgrounds. ; Drug cartellians and MS13 gangsters have used the open borders to their advantage – too often costing the lives of innocent Americans.</p>



<p>It is not anti-immigration … it is not racism … it is not xenophobia … to want a LEGAL process to deal with people wanting to enter America for any reason – jobs, touring, schooling or asylum. ; The Biden administration’s refusal to secure the border is a gross violation of the President’s oath to uphold and obey the laws and the Constitution – as it also is with every member of Congress.</p>



<p>There is only one explanation why Democrats would implement an illegal open borders policy. ; The radical left believes these folks will support the Democrats’ radical left ambition to create an authoritarian one-party central government. ; We can only hope it does not work.</p>
