Cuomo Accused of Sexual Harassment; Democrats Say Nothing
Democrats and #MeToo activists have been unusually silent regarding the sexual harassment allegations against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, for example, told Fox News that Cuomo “has a right to be heard.”
Gillibrand is a staunch advocate for women’s rights. In 2018, she led a group of lawmakers in ousting former Senator Al Franken (D-MN) after sexual misconduct accusations. His supporters blame Gillibrand for Franken’s decision to step down rather than fight the charges.
In addition to an investigation regarding the state’s cover-up of COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes, Governor Cuomo now faces allegations that he sexually harassed female employees.
Lindsey Boylan, a former aide who is now running for Manhattan borough president, says Cuomo would “go out of his way” to touch her back, arms, and legs. She says the governor once kissed her on the mouth without consent. He also suggested the two of them play “strip poker.”
Boylan says she came forward with the allegation when she heard Joe Biden was considering Cuomo for attorney general. “There are fewer things more scary than giving his man – who exists without ethics – even more control,” she tweeted.
The only other former staffer to accuse Cuomo of sexual harassment is Charlotte Bennett. She said she was uncomfortable at work because she knew the governor ‘wanted to sleep with her.’ Bennett met with a special counsel, which determined that her story did not include a claim of physical contact or inappropriate sexual conduct and that no further action was required.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, journalist Morgan Pehme, and State Assemblyman Ron Kim (D) also support claims that Governor Cuomo bullies others to get his way.
“Cuomo is a coward who has abused his powers. His pattern of abuse and harassment toward his aides, journalists, lawmakers, and critiques is despicable,” tweeted Kim. “As a lawmaker, I have the duty to hold him accountable. I will not stand down.”
Kim is one of few individuals to criticize Cuomo. Even some of the most prominent female politicians – including Vice President Kamala Harris, Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-NY), and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) – have said nothing.
Author’s Note: Cuomo became very popular in recent years due to his sparring with Trump. Democrats are reluctant to criticize him without evidence, even when it comes to sexual harassment.

Andrew Cuomo accused of sexual harassment; leading liberal women refuse comment
The sexual harassment allegation against Gov. Andrew Cuomo, explained
Former aide details sexual harassment accusations against New York Gov. Cuomo
If you are a Dimwit in NYS these days, and there are many, look in the mirror and ask yourself that killing 15,000 nursing home elderly, or more, and sexually harassing three women, or more, by Governor Andrew Cuomo makes you proud to be a Democrat? Cries of blatant hypocrisy, outright lying to the faces of NYers and attempts to dodge investigation by Andrew make you want to give him a second chance? I say he has had his second chance. What about those that died under his executive order and the women he terrified abusing his power as occupier of the highest office in the state where are their second chances? Get rid of him now like Spitzer, Schneiderman, et al before him and women of NY scream the loudest that this is intolerable behaviour.
Jim, interesting that you take such offense to this. One would think that the party of trump would be a little more reserved when it comes to COVID deaths and sexual misconduct given that there are 29 allegations of sexual misconduct against trump and he oversaw almost half a million COVID deaths during his Presidency.
I am in NO way defending Como, and the news media I consume has largely condemned him and called for his resignation. I just adhere to the glass house theory.
aM i THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN SEE THE demonic IN THIS CREEP’S FACE?
The Dems kept quiet about the riots out west during the build up to the election. I couldn’t believe how the Reps let that go. Nothing from them whatsoever. The Republicans should jump on this like the Dems would do.
Coco,
Agreed! Those riots out west were outlandish!
Speaking of riots, the Capital Insurrection was crazy! I mean seriously, trying to over turn the will of the people? Hunting to kill duly elected lawmakers from both parties that wouldn’t do their bidding?
I can’t believe how the Republicans have seemed to forget about it already. It hasn’t even been a month and they’re like,” ok, time to move on”. Insurrectionists injured, maimed, and killed officers of the law, you’d think the trump party, that never missed a chance to “back the blue “ would launch Benghazi style hearings for the next couple of years.
The others and the democraps have probably knew this all along !!! 🤬🤬🤬
The Governor of NY should resign, harassment is unacceptable.
The Governor of Texas should get his head examined for letting the state of Texas power grid go down. Then turn around and start the process for another disaster of Covid cases.
What is up with stupid people?
if anybody claims their Democrat and claims they have moral values and you listen to and you gotta be a big idiot the nail because they don’t have any
Sounds like he would be an ideal candidate for the Republican nomination for President!
