CNN Bias Shown in False Reporting: Trump Was Never Warned by Secret Service
CNN recently reported that Donald Trump was warned by the Secret Service that his gun rights rhetoric put his rival Hillary Clinton at danger. But, the Reuters news service was quick to debunk the story.
“A federal official on Wednesday said the U.S. Secret Service had not formally spoken with Republican Donald Trump’s presidential campaign regarding his suggestion a day earlier that gun rights activists could stop Democratic rival Hillary Clinton from curtailing their access to firearms,” writes Reuters.
This was following a media frenzy starting Tuesday where Democrats and bias publications claimed that Trump allegedly threaten Clinton during a campaign speech.
But here were his exact words: “Hillary wants to abolish — essentially abolish the Second Amendment. By the way, if she gets to pick, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know. But I tell you what, that will be a horrible day, if Hillary gets to put her judges in, right now we’re tied.”
How does this seem like a threat at all?
Then the CNN story broke. “A US Secret Service official confirms to CNN that the USSS has spoken to the Trump campaign regarding his Second Amendment comments. “There has been more than one conversation” on the topic, the official told CNN.”
Who is this “official?” And in the same article CNN stated that “it’s unclear at what level in the campaign structure the conversations occurred.”
But less than 30 minutes later, Reuters reported that the CNN article reported a total lie.
Trump tweeted similar sentiments regarding the CNN the next day saying “no such meeting or conversation ever happened – a made up story by “low ratings” @CNN”
Author’s note: CNN is just one of the publications on a desperate quest to attract eyeballs. It seems like less publications are doing the appropriate fact checking, or even worse, they report false information on purpose. What has happened to journalistic integrity?
Editor’s note: CNN should stop getting its reporting from the Clinton campaign
