The world was shocked this summer when FBI Director James Comey announced that no charges would be pressed against Crooked Hillary for her careless handling of sensitive information and use of a non-government email server during her time as Secretary of State.
In a letter sent to Congress this Friday, James Comey reports that the FBI discovered “emails that appear to be pertinent to the Clinton investigation” while looking into the “unrelated case” of former NY Rep. Anthony Weiner’s alleged sexting with an underage girl.
The new emails were discovered after the FBI seized a computer belonging to Weiner and his wife, top Clinton aide Huma Abedin. The FBI will take “appropriate investigative steps” to discover whether the new emails contain classified information, writes Comey.
Huma Adebin is one of Clinton’s closest confidantes and has worked with her since the 1990s. The two have exchanged thousands of emails.
Adebin worked with Hillary in the State Department as deputy chief of staff and, like Hillary, used an email address routed through the secret email server. Today, Adebin is vice-chairman of Hillary’s presidential campaign.
“The FBI’s decision to reopen its investigation into Secretary Clinton reinforces what the House Judiciary Committee has been saying for months: the more we learn about Secretary Clinton’s use of a private email server, the clearer it becomes that she and her associates committed wrongdoing and jeopardized national security,” says Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA).
Both the White House and the Clinton campaign team have declined to comment on the discovery of the new emails.
Hillary Clinton has “nobody but herself to blame,” says House Speaker Paul Ryan. “She was entrusted with some of our nation’s most important secrets, and she betrayed that trust by carelessly mishandling highly classified information.”
“This decision, long overdue, is the result of her reckless use of a private email server, and her refusal to be forthcoming with federal investigators. I renew my call for the Director of National Intelligence to suspend all classified briefings for Secretary Clinton until this matter is fully resolved.”
With less than two weeks until voting day, this new development could seriously impact the election.
Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta – the man whose emails WikiLeaks has been releasing in recent weeks – calls it “extraordinary that we would see something like this just 11 days out from a presidential election” and demanded that Comey elaborate.
Donald Trump, speaking to a New Hampshire audience this Friday, said he had “great respect” for the FBI’s decision to “right the horrible mistake that they had made. Perhaps, finally, justice will be done.”
Editor’s note: If you remember the 1990’s you remember the Clinton’s were under investigation fIs or most of the Bill Clinton administration. Is America prepared to go through that again?
