Clinton Emails Show a Lack of Concern for Libya Crisis
The State Department continues to sift through the mountain of emails they received after Hillary Clinton was forced to give up her private server. A new batch of emails released last week shows that her response during crisis situations is to…become bored.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has received much criticism for her alleged role in the Islamic attacks against Benghazi, Libya in 2012. While the beleaguered country of Libya was overrun with Islamists, Clinton spent her time emailing her daughter about wall lamps.
According to The Right Scoop: “Another tranche of Hillary’s State Department emails were released on Friday, and while all the ‘journalists’ just guffawed at all the charming ways in which Granny Cankles wrote about emojis, conservatives found an email showing just how little she cared about security in Libya.”
Here’s the information in a string of emails from December 2011 with subject line Gunmen try to assassinate head of Libyan army:
“Did you look at all the ones in the link to the brand? Can you call me at home?” asks Clinton.
The reply is that the lamps are pretty but too expensive.
“Did you get info from Chelsea about the wall lamps?” asks Clinton in the next email.
According to an Associated Press article dated the same day those emails were sent, a group of gunmen tried to kill the head of the Libyan army in the middle of the day during an attack on the country’s capital. Sgt. Abdel-Razik el-Shibahy reported, “The army chief of staff was in a convoy Saturday traveling from his home in Tripoli to the military headquarters when a group of armed men at a fake checkpoint tried to stop them.”
The attack on Benghazi occurred nine months after those emails were sent. Violence increased during that time, but it seems Clinton was more concerned with interior design than the terrorists threatening her “friend” in Benghazi. And this woman is still in the running to be President of the United States? Astounding.
