Christmas Brings Violence for Christians in Berlin
Four Orthodox Christian men were accosted by Muslims on Saturday as they walked out of the Adagio venue (pictured at left). “I am a Muslim! What are you?” yelled one of the attackers as the team of five jumped the four 20-something Christians.
Investigations are still underway, but police believe the attack was politically motivated. Five people, including a 19-year-old passerby, were injured during the melee. The perpetrators fled before police arrived and have not been found.
This isn’t the first time Muslim refugees have repaid Germany’s kindness by impeding holiday celebrations. Just a few months ago, a group of Muslims tried to put a stop to the age-old tradition of Oktoberfest because they found it ‘offensive.’
Turkey is experiencing similar issues, where Muslims protested a decorated Christmas tree in Istanbul’s Maltepe Square this week. “That charlatan called Santa Claus is the father of Christians! We’re a nation of the Prophet Muhammad!” shouted one of the protestors. A similar outcry in Turkey two years ago ended as protestors stabbed a giant inflatable Santa Claus.
