
<p>An ongoing investigation into the Biden family’s finances revealed a suspicious payment of $3 million that was sent from two Chinese businessmen to a Hunter Biden associate named John “Rob” Walker. ;</p>



<p>The previously-undisclosed wire transfer was announced last week by Rep. James Comer (R-KY), Chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee. The payment was listed among bank documents provided to the committee from the Treasury Department as part of a GOP-led investigation into the Biden family’s overseas business dealings. ;</p>



<p>The transfer is said to have been sent from two individuals linked to the Chinese Communist Party just a few weeks after President Joe Biden’s second term as vice president ended in 2017. ;According to Comer, several members of the Biden family received “hundreds of thousands of dollars in payouts” after the wire transfer cleared &#8211; including one individual that had not been previously associated with the family’s influence-peddling schemes. ;</p>



<p><strong>It is unclear what these individuals did in exchange for the money. ;</strong></p>



<p>“We are going to continue to use bank documents and suspicious activity reports to follow the money trail to determine the extent of the Biden family’s business schemes, if Joe Biden is compromised by these deals, and if there is a national security threat,” said Comer. “If Treasury tries to stonewall our investigation again, we will continue to use tools at our disposal to compel compliance.” ;</p>



<p>The Treasury Department had denied the committee access to more than 150 “suspicious activity reports&#8221; related to Hunter Biden until Comer demanded an interview with Treasury Department executive Jonathan Davidson so that he could explain “under the penalty of perjury” why the department was hiding “critical information” related to the President of the United States. The committee was granted access to the reports and the interview was postponed.</p>



<p><em>&#8220;Suspicious activity reports” are flagged transactions that are brought to the attention of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network for review.</em></p>



<p>Comer has also subpoenaed Bank of America in order to access more than ten years’ worth of financial records related to Hunter Biden &#8211; including years when his father served as vice president. ;Comer’s &#8220;working theory” is that Hunter Biden, Joe Biden, and other family members orchestrated a years-long influence peddling operation without properly registering as foreign agents. ;</p>

<p>The Biden family&#8217;s financial activities have been under review for years, with the most notable headline being the discovery of a laptop Hunter Biden left at a repair shop in 2019 (read more in linked content below). Combined with information from whistleblowers and data from said laptop, documents from the Treasury detail a “decade-long pattern of influence peddling, national security risks, and political cover-ups” committed by members of the Biden family that “raises troubling questions” about whether President Biden has been “compromised by foreign governments” in connection with Hunter’s activities.</p>



<p>During an interview with <em>Fox News</em> host Bill Hemmer, Comer added that the $3 million payment was “just the first wire that we’ve actually been able to obtain bank records on. There are many, many more.” ;</p>
