
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The recent viral video of Lucy Martinez, a teacher at Nathan Hale Elementary School in Chicago, is not just disturbing, it is emblematic of the moral decay that has infected the radical left as well as the public school teaching ranks.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During the “No Kings Day” protest, Martinez was caught on camera making a grotesque gesture. ; She simulated a gun with her fingers and put it to her neck &#8212; mimicking the assassination of conservative icon Charlie Kirk.  ; ; ;She did this in response to a truck carrying a banner honoring Kirk. Her actions were not just tasteless — they were cruel, calculated, and deeply revealing. ; The fact that the incident went viral is testimony to the highly charged divisive political atmosphere.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This is not just another anonymous protester. This is a public school teacher entrusted with the education and moral guidance of impressionable young children. Her behavior is not merely inappropriate — it is disqualifying. No one who mocks the violent death of another human being based on political bias, especially in such a public and gleeful manner, should be allowed within a hundred yards of a classroom.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Martinez’s gesture was not a momentary lapse in judgment. It was a deliberate act of hatred. She repeated the gesture multiple times, surrounded by fellow protesters, many of whom cheered her on. This was not a protest — it was a celebration of hatred. And it is part of a larger pattern we have seen from the radical left &#8212; a willingness to dehumanize and demonize anyone who dares to disagree with their worldview.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The left talks endlessly about tolerance, compassion, and inclusion. But when it comes to conservatives — especially outspoken ones like Charlie Kirk — those values vanish. In their place, we see mockery, violence, and a disturbing lust for vengeance. Martinez’s gesture is a symptom of a part of the American culture that has lost its moral compass.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In my judgment, Martinez should be fired immediately. There is no excuse, no justification, no “context” that can make her actions acceptable. The Chicago Public School system must act swiftly and decisively. If they fail to do so, they are complicit in normalizing this kind of behavior.  ;But do not hold your breath.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The “No Kings Day” protest was billed as a celebration of democracy and resistance to authoritarianism. While most protesters were orderly and peaceful, what we saw from Martinez &#8212; and too many others &#8212; was not peaceful protest. It was hateful, divisive, and dangerous on its sentiments. ; The legacy media avoided coverage of the more violent and hateful protesters with signs reading “Kill the Fascists”. ; Placards included phrases like “Off with his head”, “Time to hang the tyrants”, and “No mercy for kings”. ; Chants included, “Bang, Bang, No King,” “Guillotine 2025” and “No Kings, No Peace”. ; Trump was hung in effigy and symbolically guillotined.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">If this is what the left celebrates — a movement that cheers death and mocks the murdered — then it is time for a reckoning. ; Martinez’s classroom should have a substitute teacher. Her name should be removed from the school roster. And her example should serve as a warning. ; As those on the left are quick to say, there is no place for hatred in our schools, our protests, or our society. ; It is time for them to live up to their words.</p>
