Can Biden Dodge Scandals Until After the 2024 Election?

President Biden was able to push off a number of serious scandals past the 2020 presidential election – scandals that may well have cost him the election.  Will he be able to do it again before the 2024 presidential election?  Most notable among them are the various issues raised by Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Biden’s efforts to keep his and his family’s scandals out of the news were successful because he had help.  First and foremost, Biden benefited from a crony media that would protect him no matter how serious or well-documented the accusations were.

The Biden campaign claimed that the laptop did not belong to Hunter – and the media proffered the same lie.  They floated a narrative that it was a disinformation campaign by Russian operatives.

One of the more disturbing aspects of the charade was the fact that the FBI and the CIA participated in the fraud in order to help Biden win the election – or more likely, to prevent President Trump from winning reelection.

Former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morrell testified before Congress that he had arranged to have 51 former CIA agents issue a public letter claiming that the laptop story was a Russian disinformation ploy.  It is important to keep in mind that this was a political trick carried out for the sole purpose of protecting Biden in the midst of a highly contested campaign.

Among the signatories was Jeremy Bash – a frequent guest on leftwing cable shows.  He is also the husband of CNN’s leftwing personality, Dana Bash. (Interesting, how the leftwing media and leftwing government work in tandem.)

A number of signatories were later provided with jobs in the Biden administration — including Bash, who was appointed to Biden’s Intelligence Advisory Board.  Bash had also put Morell in touch with Steve Ricchetti, Biden’s campaign chairman, who thanked Morrell for orchestrating the phony letter.  Biden referred to the phony letter in his final debate with Trump.

The CIA was not alone in propping up the false claim that the Hunter laptop was a Russian creation.  FBI officials also endorsed that narrative – without an investigation or scintilla of evidence.

(If that has a familiar foul smell, you may be recalling the Steele Dossier – another anti-Trump phony document created by Democrats – specifically the Clinton campaign — and promoted by the same FBI and leftwing media.  And the Dossier was part of the equally phony Russian conspiracy narrative.)

The disinformation campaign was so successful that reports linking the laptop – and the damning information contained on it – were ridiculed and literally censored.  The story detailing the contents of the laptop appeared on the front page of the New York Times.  When it was posted on Twitter, it was taken down as fake news.  Facebook also censored claims that the laptop belonged to Hunter.

That treatment continued until major publications like the New York Times and the Washington Post could no longer deny the legitimacy of the story – and the contents of the laptop, including its ownership by Hunter Biden.

But even as Hunter’s problems multiplied, the stories were not given appropriate coverage by the major media.  Hunter’s involvement with a corrupt Ukrainian energy company, millions of dollars from American adversaries – China and Russia – unpaid child support, failure to register as a foreign agent, and possible tax fraud was played down in the media.

Then there were the activities of the President’s brother Frank — and that 10 percent of the money that was earmarked for “the big guy.”  There can be no mistake about who “the big guy” is.

How will Attorney General Merrick Garland deal with Biden’s stash of White House Documents?  Yes, it is different than Trump’s problem – but it is starting to look less innocent than Biden first suggested.

Like President Trump, Biden also has an unresolved case of alleged sexual assault.  Tara Reade accused Biden of forcibly penetrating her with his finger.  Like all the other Biden scandals, that case has been ignored.  Other women complained about Biden’s inappropriate touching and kissing.  Unlike Trump, Biden’s past stories do not get permanently recycled by the media.

While all these scandals have been dropped from public conversations over the years, they have not gone away entirely.  In fact, they seem to be heating up.   The Department of Justice – after dragging its feet for several years – appears to be undertaking a serious investigation of Hunter Biden on tax issues.

The mother of Hunter’s love (?) child is asking a court to lock up the First Son for not obeying court orders to turn over financial records in conjunction with the paternity case.  That could open up a much larger issue for Hunter.  While the request is to determine his ability to pay child support, a complete look at his financial dealings in recent years could be a treasure trove of evidence for prosecutors.

Then there is Hunter’s failure to file as a foreign agent and his lying to get a gun.  Then there is the question as to whether Hunter’s exorbitant art sales are a veiled influence peddling racket.

It is a little more than one year to the 2024 presidential election – and Biden will be seeking a second term.  Can he outrun the scandals for a second time?  Time will tell.

So, there ‘tis.

The short answer yes, he can outrun his problems because we the people have gotten used to a double standard of justice. Additionally, he is the one with the bully pulpit and they call it that for a reason.

Now Hunter’s offenses might be a bit harder. I do not think he can outrun the love child, but he can settle it with some of that China money that ole Hunter sent to him. And he will probably do this. Tax evasion and the whole mess with China money may be a bit hard since there are Doberman’s such as MTG on his tail, and there is a whistleblower. The only tax evasion case that has taken longer is Trump. Sex scandals, flip a coin. These are cases where the evidence is highly scrutinized and the plaintiff generally come away quite beaten up – so she can expect a good beating. The real question is will the plaintiff be able to survive the beatings and press on to the finish line. I hope she gets there.

I have always felt that Hillary should have been charged regarding the server and all of those text messages on a non-government phone, and should have been charged in the Russian disinformation mess.

In the end, America needs a hero to save them from two guys with seedy backgrounds that both desperately need to win to cover their crimes running for the land’s highest most respected office that many do not want either one running for the office. I am not as afraid of Biden winning as I am of him dying in office and we end up under Wheels on the Bus Kamala!! Think about that one for a while!

Wow, there’s ten pounds of shit in an eight pound bag. This dog don’t hunt. All hat, lots of bull though…..Seems to be one brick shy of a wall. FYI — before you use the word “screed,” look it up. It’s long, it may be boring, but it ain’t no screed like Larry’s article.

Larry’s basic premise is that anything Biden rubs off on Joe. And Joe should be punished for anything Biden. Hunter, Frank, he misses James, all corrupt Joe with their actions. Sure, they do taint Joe, but Joe is not culpable for his adult children, siblings, or other relations as a point of law. Period.

Larry has the Chicago reputation for being a bit of a junkyard dog about things. Pugnacious approach is the descriptor. Apparently, he loves to sink his teeth into Democrats never let’s go. He sometimes loses his objectivity, blends similar things into a single thing, and even dredges up past history as proof positive of present conditions. He is old and seems to dredge up old feelings as if new news. Facts are rarely his friends, he often tells people “everyone knows it,” “look it up yourself,” and “I don’t have the time….” In all honesty, he does share a number of facts in this article, not on Joe though, as he seems to operate in “back-up” mode on a lot of this, as noted below.

This “story” is a hodge podge of Biden news but not necessarily Joe Biden; it’s a veritable pot-luck of angry allegations against the entire Biden family. A lot of stew pot calling soup kettle black stuff as well. But why look at the bigger picture, the American picture, when you can focus it all on Joe Biden as proxy for any Democrat in the land. That’s like saying Trump represents all Republicans in the land, especially Larry. That would be crazy too.

Is it the style of Republicans today to go after the entire bloodline of a candidate for Presidency and a sitting President. Is that our new vetting process? Tear into the family and blame the candidate? Or does Larry demure to the ole “you did it first” shtick.

“able to push off a number of scandals….” How about Republicans cannot lay a glove on this earnest public servant to his nation as they continue to serve nothing burgers after their witch hunts. Now they have umpteen House investigations underway usurping the majority Congressional resources at an extreme taxpayer cost for just one thing: GET JOE. Many Republican officials have said that this is their sole reason for living, working, and being in DC.

Yes, Hunter is a cad and, frankly, timing allowed Biden to skirt this laptop until the NYTimes, in 2021, after the 2020 election, a year after pc’s discovery, shed verifiable light on the pc. Why not the FBI? That’s a good question; it was on Trump’s watch, ask him.
Yes, Frank is a cad poorly profiting by stupidly bragging about being Joe’s brother. Don’t forget Joe bro James, he did it too.

Yes, the media seems against you; maybe it’s just that they seem to have so many facts that seem to promote that. So many truths that make Republicans look deplorable. Over 1,000 arrested for one day’s work, that’s telling. A lot of Trump’s campaign and administration has been convicted. For good reasons. His top guy made millions putting Putin’s puppet in charge of Ukraine. Then Trump “asked a favor” from the next guy while withholding agreed-upon funding support. He separated young children from mothers at the border. He calls white supremacists “very fine people.” Even if these things were the right things, most certainly Trump did them the wrong way, not the American way. At least not what we strive for. Then, there seems to be a number of Republican incursions, many armed, at State Capitols, leading up to an apparent weaponized Republican insurrection at the Capitol by people who the insiders today blame Donald J. Trump’s inciteful rhetoric as they are about to be convicted for up to 20 years for listening to and following: ‘we’re going to walk down to the Capitol … You have to show strength, and you have to be strong.’

    You betcha.

You are victims, yes, it’s true. As true as there is rain. We are cads, you’ve been had, well, at least at last you know! Or ask FOX if they meant it. And now you know what it feels like to be “Accessed Hollywood-ed.”

    Some Larry “facts”:
“He is also the husband of CNN’s leftwing personality, Dana Bash. (Interesting, how the leftwing media and leftwing government work in tandem.)” Uh, they divorced in 2007….

“Bash had also put Morell in touch with Steve Ricchetti, Biden’s campaign chairman, who thanked Morrell for orchestrating the phony letter.” Bet you can’t source this one beyond “allegation.”

“The CIA was not alone in propping up the false claim that the Hunter laptop was a Russian creation.” Stretch: the letter said “has the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation”. And that was the point; without verifiable proof, all you had was what looked like Hunter’s laptop, held by a shady Trumplicant blind PC repair guy for years before being handed to Ghouliani and the NYPost three weeks before the election —- if the tables were turned, you would have accepted this? It was three weeks before the election, would you have accepted that? It was on TRUMP’s watch, I guess you did accept it.

Hell, you can’t even get past “I have a favor to ask” or the very specific “So look. All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have,” sure sounds like some slam dunks, but a laptop held by a Trumplicant for years, given to Ghouliani and the NYPost for safekeeping, three weeks before the election, that’s a no-brainer for you as the truth… Truth is the entire thing has not been totally validated YET, just some, a lot, of the files are validated. It still MAY have disinformation on it, we still don’t know. In 2020, you had the power, you had three weeks, you fumbled the ball.

But no matter what — it’s Hunter’s, not Joe’s. I doubt Joe has much use for a laptop or dirty pictures. If we are grading the President based on his family, I’ve got scads ‘o shit on the Trump kids, more on Melanoma, the communist. And keep it up on the kids cause you know Barron is weird, can’t wait to divulge his secrets… Someday, sit back, have a glass of terrible Trump wine, and I will regale you.

“If that has a familiar foul smell, you may be recalling the Steele Dossier – another anti-Trump phony document created by Democrats” So, now you blaming Joe for Hillary? Where does it end. How low can you go?

“Then there were the activities of the President’s brother Frank — and that 10 percent of the money that was earmarked for “the big guy.” Are these two thoughts? Or are you linking them, as you have, that Frank, 10%, and the big guy are one sentence? Source???
But about the 10%: Fox News reported no evidence of Hunter’s business deals with the Chinese went to Joe Biden. Not to mention it was 2017, Biden was out of office as VP, and two years before announcing his run for President. And, at this point, there is no money trail.

The classified document saga will just turn the crank of justice, a potential slap on the wrist, and perhaps hard to do until he’s out of office. Shoddy, but that’s that. If you expect more, except much of the government to be locked up — it’s “systemic documentism” at this point, and the entire process needs re-engineering. Trump MAY have been doing this for the money, time will tell.
Tara Reade: yes, the allegations exist. Is there an active court case? Indictment? Investigation?

I do think Joe Biden can dodge the scandals of Hunter, Frank, and James (sounds like a Beatles song…). Certainly Larry has not forwarded the cause with his rampant FUD, red herrings, and misdirection’s.

FYI: with all the negatives I just posted about Larry, the person, please understand that I think he’s the best PBP has. He is an original thinker, he is not a sheep, and he expresses himself quite well, better than me for sure. He is not a copy/paste artist and will never be replaced by AI :>)

Not enough MIPS to replace Larry :>(

Fraank Stetson … Well at least with “all the negatives” you posted abut me personally, why the pushback on your own opinion. lol. Frankly Frank, I did not read “all the negatives” but can pretty well guess them. They tend to be repetitious. But thanks for the smidgeon of “positives.”
