Biden kicks off the #NotMeToo Movement

Political hypocrisy and media bias have killed off the #MeToo movement. Gone are the claims that a woman is to be believed … just because she is a woman. Gone are the salacious and accusatory charges of sexual misconduct by public officials. Gone are the daily interviews with a succession of evidence-challenged accusers and their dubious witnesses. No more ignoring the principle of “innocent until proven guilty” and the casting aside of the constitution-based rules-of-evidence.

We should all celebrate the demise of modern-day witch hunts played out in kangaroo courts. But the reasons for the return to the more traditional standards of justice and decorum are still disturbing because they are founded on corrupt grounds.

Of course, I am referring to the charges made against former Vice President Joe Biden. The charges made against Biden by former staffer Tara Reade are no less credible than those leveled against others – Republicans, to be specific – and more credible than some. When pointing an accusatorial finger against now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Christine Blasey Ford had zero corroboration. In fact, those she named as witnesses claimed no knowledge of the incident. Ford had faulty recollections of the time and place.

Democrats and the media gave considerable attention to Julie Swetnick — the gal that disreputable sleazebag attorney Michael Avenatti put up to make phony claims. Even the biased media could not make that made-up story stick after initially calling her “credible.”

The NeverTrump media has spent thousands of hours of airtime and miles of newsprint leveling one accusation after another against President Trump, himself. Though Trump does have a reputation as what a womanizer, there has not been a scintilla of hard evidence that he actually assaulted any women. Still, his enemies in the press carry on.

So, what about Biden?

According to reports that do not appear on CNN or MSNBC – or the New York Times and Washington Post – Reade claims that Biden tried to seduce her in a semi-private location. Despite her protest at the time, Reade claims that Biden ran his hands under her skirt and penetrated her vagina with his finger or fingers. That should have had the ladies on the left running to Reade’s aide. Reade should have been elevated to the poster child of the #MeToo Movement. But noooooo. Nothing. Crickets.

Reade is not a one-time deal. Nevada candidate Lucy Flores wrote this about her encounter with Biden – sounding like a passage in a cheap romance novel.

“I felt him get closer to me from behind. He leaned further in and inhaled my hair. I was mortified. I thought to myself, ‘I didn’t wash my hair today and the vice-president of the United States is smelling it. And also, what in the actual fuck? Why is the vice-president of the United States smelling my hair?’ He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head. My brain couldn’t process what was happening. I was embarrassed. I was shocked. I was confused. There is a Spanish saying, ‘tragame tierra.’ it means, ‘earth, swallow me whole.’ I couldn’t move and I couldn’t say anything. I wanted nothing more than to get Biden away from me. My name was called and I was never happier to get on stage in front of an audience.”

Others have talked about unwelcomed kisses, touches and that iconic hair-sniffing. His tendency to nuzzle from behind – like the neck-biting Bela Lugosi in “Dracula” — has earned Biden the moniker, “Creepy Joe.”

On the edges of the mainstream left-wing media, there were a few obscure references to the accusations of Tara Reade – but only to spin the claims as being old news and of not much credibility. That is strange because Reade has as much or more credibility (evidence) than others who are to be believed. Reade has the testimony of a number of people who confirm that Reade told them of the assault at the time.

There have been other stories of Biden’s inappropriate behavior with women – even more damning than his creepy shoulder-rubbing and hair-sniffing.

What is different for Biden is that the major left-wing news outlets have no stomach for even investigating these accusations further. In fact, they avoid even reporting the claims, the details and the supporting testimony. Rather than inquiry, the news services have joined the defense team – rebutting and playing it down.

Not the example of feminist hypocrisy

This is not the first time that the left-wing feminist movement proved itself to be a fraud. They are the ladies’ auxiliary of the Democratic Party. Their standards of sexual assault are painfully pliable and profoundly partisan.

They spent years turning a blind eye to the masher habits of the late Senator Ted Kennedy. When President Bill Clinton was exposed (no pun intended) in the Monica Lewinski scandal, the ladies of the left came to his support – one feminist leader even saying she would have performed the Lewinski role because of Clinton’s support of women’s issues. In the year 1992 B. C. (before Clinton), a powerful male supervisor seducing a young and vulnerable underling was THE cardinal sin in the feminists’ morality book. Not so, anymore. Instead of siding with Clinton accusers, Democrat feminists followed Hillary Clinton’s strategy of assassinating the character of the accusers – a role reversal of monumental proportions. That all changed in 1998, when Clinton’s Oval Office assignations hit the newsstands.

In fact, the shameful reaction of the so-called feminists was so dishonest and hypocritical that the entire movement lost credibility for years – as witnessed by their very limited access to the news media at the time. It has only been in recent years that the ladies on the left have remerged on the front page.

But will they have made the same mistake a second time? Every radical feminist who dismisses Reade’s story out of hand reduces the impact and credibility of what they have been saying about Kavanaugh, Trump and other Republicans. The hypocrisy is palpable. The very foundation of the #MeToo movement crumbles. It is exposed as nothing more than a highly partisan political operation designed to elect Democrats.

Democrats and their media allies may be able to keep the Reade story – as well as Hunter Biden’s highly questionable business dealings – hidden behind the obsessive reporting of the Covid-19 virus. But in a few weeks – as life returns to some semblance of normal and Biden will have to come out of his basement to actually campaign – we may hear a lot more from Reade and others.

So, there ‘tis.
