Biden Border Policy … A Welcome Mat for MS13, Drugs, Crime and Chaos

Biden Border Policy … A Welcome Mat for MS13, Drugs, Crime and Chaos

President Biden’s problem over White House classified documents has one major benefit for him. It is distracting attention from the crisis at the border, that is getting worse every day.  And it is not just a crisis AT the border.  The flood of illegal border crossers is overwhelming humanitarian resources and bringing deadly crime to cities and towns across the nation.

Even worse, the criminals and drugs that jump the border is metastasizing in every city and town across America.  The drug cartels are setting up businesses in every community.  The open border is largely responsible for the surge in sex trafficking, the drug epidemic, and a wide range of violent crimes.

MS13 – that was targeted by the Trump administration – is again growing.  Law enforcement officials estimate the MS13 membership now exceeds 10,000.

Nowhere are the differences in the attention to the border between Trump and Biden more obvious than in the number of KNOWN terrorists arriving at the border.  According to Border Patrol statistics, 11 known terrorists were intercepted in Trump’s four years in office.  In the first two years of the Biden administration, the number is 151.

In many ways, it is just a matter of numbers.  If you allow more and more migrants to enter the country, you will get more and more criminals, drugs, and terrorists.

In December, more than 250,000 people crossed the border illegally.  That is a 40 percent increase from December 2021.  And those are people who came in contact with border control officers.  In the past three and a half months, the border patrol counted 278,000 got-aways – roughly 2500 per day.  That does not count the got-aways who were not spotted by border agents.  It is safe to assume that the got-aways number is much, much higher.

The Biden administration has done nothing to address the crisis with positive and effective measures. They have not increased funding for border patrol officers.  No walls.  No improved technology.  No ending sanctuary cities and counties.  No increased support from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to track down migrant criminals who have already entered the nation.

Biden has, however, offered money to South American nations to improve their economies with the idiotic notion that the caravans would stop coming if living conditions were improved.  There has been no cut back in the benefits and incentives that are encouraging the massive migration.

In fact, Biden has initiated a sponsorship program so that migrants can be hosted by American families and NGOs – further encouraging the flow.

Biden is one lucky fellow – having so much of the media focusing attention away from the border crisis even as the crisis gets worse – more dangerous and more deadly—and on to the documents that so far have not killed anyone.  Of course, that possibility remains.

Do not misunderstand.  The documents in Biden’s garage deserve media and public attention – as do Trump’s and now Vice President Pence’s — but you would think the Fourth Estate could do justice to more than one major story at a time.

So, there ‘tis.

Dropping this element of people near the White House or sending them to Martha’s Vineyard was a good idea.
But here is a better one.

Drop the illegal’s off were the homes of the News giants are.
Drop the people off in front of the homes of the owners of CNBC , CNN, ABC, ect.

    See if that makes news?

    • frank stetson

Problem is the drop-offs are mostly legal asylum seekers for which the US has a world-agreed policy to accept valid asylum seekers.

Almost every drop-off has made the news anyway.

I agree Larry. I find the timing interesting. At a time when so many are crossing the border illegally, a time when we now have the CBP 2.0 phone app to pre-approve folks to come and have their cases heard, a time when the federal government is trying to establish a program to enlist citizens and NGO’s to house these folks, a time when Biden administration is quietly negotiating in Greensboro, NC to house 800 unaccompanied minors at a time in a Chinese backed (by loans) defunct Hebrew Academy (and I am sure other places as well), a time when inflation and energy prices are strangling people, – we now have the document scandal. Just remember, timing is everything!!!

I am reminded of something Spock said to Capt. Kirk, “Nothing unreal exists, therefore what ever remains must be real.” The statement that there is no problem at the border, is unreal. Therefore it does not exist. So what exists, must be real, and in this case what exists is horrendous border crossing numbers. Therefore it is real. Spock used logic to solve problems with hidden causes. Let us use logic here as well, lets all be Spocks!

In this case, it appears to me that Biden has become the obvious problem. The big hidden cause lurking behind the obvious Biden problem is Democratic candidates running for office in 2024 who do not want to be associated with the Biden Administration’s record. The Biden administration knew about the classified documents before the 2020 election by a few days. Yet they kept it hidden and only now is it coming out after the Trump scandal of August 2022. Again, the way Trump handled his document scandal gives Dems a blame escape hatch from Biden’s own words about Trump (which is now become his rope) by saying Biden is handling it much differently that Trump – they try to get us to think Biden’s words do not apply to Biden, only to Trump. I would call this whole thing, “nested scams”, meant to direct public attention on the smoke whilst not being able to see the fire. All of these doc searches are the smoke. But the fire nested in the smoke is the border, inflation and energy costs, dissatisfaction with the Biden Administration, the direction of the country, etc. And the cause nested in the flames and fueling the fire nested in the smoke is that a significant faction of the Dems want Biden out so they can claim victory in taking care of the problem, dissociate from bad policy outcomes, and, proclaiming to the people in 2024 that all is well again thereby securing their own elections. In other words, Dems have manufactured the whole Biden docs thing for hidden reasons just like Russia-gate and its timing, now that we are looking ahead to 2024 and soon candidates will be stumping for voters.

And Kamala continues to sing, “The wheels on the bus go round and round……”

Tom, wow, that’s some diversion, even if I agree with much of it. Biden really did not have to fess up before the election, he did need time to collect his thoughts, if he used Trump timetable, you still wouldn’t know. But he certainly waited too long. But really — got facts?

My take on the docs is that all should be treated equal and for all of them, bushs, obama, clintons, carters, trump, biden, — find out
      a. what they have
      b. how secret is it
      c. who had access

And then let the law follow it’s proper path. But check them all out, it’s a swamp.

Meanwhile on your other grab bag items:

      1. border – it’s bad, it’s his watch, he’s not doing enough
      2. inflation – it’s coming down, US did better than ROW
      3. energy costs – coming down, almost reasonable, nationally we be at 3.50, a year ago it was $3.36.
      4. dissatisfaction with the Biden Administration, the direction of the country, etc. – tis true enough

      • Tom

Yeah I agree Frank, the timetables will always be questionable. But I do think the FBI or whoever discovered the documents did withhold this piece of information. From an FBI perspective they seem to be sensitive after the Hillary debacle with the emails just before election time. I think that is actually the reason they did not say anything then.

Yeah I agree with you on how to handle it for all of them. Nobody has said anything about Bush but I would a agree to a search. But I guess they have to have some sort of probably cause. Trump it was the archives asking for them and not receiving. I must admit I am not clear on Biden. Seems like a lawyer just happened to discover them.

Right now our gas prices and food prices here where I live are higher than ever before. Regular is $3.49 average. I keep telling my corvette not too worry, it will come down. Border is becoming a big issue here as Biden is attempting to send the unaccompanied children here and we are wondering who pays for their Medicaid and other services. Our taxes? This would be wrong of the federal government to do.

Regarding inflation rate, its actually up a little here. In December, the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers decreased 0.1 percent, seasonally adjusted, and rose 6.5 percent over the last 12 months, not seasonally adjusted. The index for all items less food and energy increased 0.3 percent in December (SA); up 5.7 percent over the year (NSA). Source, “https://www.bls.gov/cpi/”.

And people in my county are screaming this month because they just got their new tax assessment. Seems that home tax assessments are up anywhere from 80 – 100% over last year. And we give new assessments every couple of years. Seems like housing and materials inflation has now affected our property taxes in a big way. I have not looked at mine yet.

Yes, there is quite a general dissatisfaction over the direction of the country and quality of life these days. I am hearing the most complaints about gas/food prices, property taxes, gender fluidity teaching in the grade schools here, and over all cost of living.

So there you have it. LIVE LONG AND PROSPER FRANK STETSON!!!

        • Tom

Of course the good news is MY PHILADELPHIA EAGLES ARE IN THE SUPERBOWL!!! FLY EAGLES FLY!!!

          • Frank stetson

My team of the woke name lost their glass slipper but most fun in overca decade.

FBI/Hillary from an Independent? There’s no FBI when they the original sin. It’s Biden’s lawyers on the papers found the week before the election which probably grants him a stay given he has to gather his thoughts, papers, legal advice. But pretty obvious that too much time passed after mid November.

Your gas is probably 10% higher than a few months ago but 25%, lower than last summer so not ever before unless you insulated. It’s still too high but lower than last summer. I gave the wrx to my kid but the 1999 pristine F150 V8 sports truck gets like 12mpgs and it hurts. With over 100K, just did the big service, with plugs, so gas prices don’t matter against that grand. But never again!

Inflation should be the same story, lower than it was but still too high. Lower than other nations, but still too high.

Thus it can be better but still disappointing at the same time. No denying that.

Taxes may be inflation affected given it’s local services but at 100%, it ain’t just inflation. Not even close. Here where we pay the highest in the land, we have a cap on increases so they legally can’t do that shit. Wish I could help. As one of the few in NJ who lowered their property tax, I relish the fight. Lowered Mom’s in PA too. It’s an art 😁.

But you should be livid on the taxes and hold some one locally accountable.

Gender fluidity? Who makes this shit up? Freakin idiots think people just ooze into becoming gay? Like it’s a choice? Grade school? Lovecto see show n tell. What’s wrong with you people and why blame Biden for a local problem. States rights are only good if the right people’ are in your state.

        • frank stetson

Back to taxes, Tom. There is no way building materials affect your taxes unless it’s a new building and there are so many new buildings with higher costs, and then old houses sell at the new house’s price —- then sometimes then “re-evaluate” all the old houses and really whack em with a higher rate so they are at parity with the new stuff. Pretty rare and seems like not enough time has gone by to do that.

Like I said, at 100%, I would bet that good chance somebody screwed up somewhere.

In NJ, the proud owner of the highest property tax rate in America title, our taxes barely moved for next year; I fully expect to see the “mandated” cap of 4%, but no more. So, while it sucks to be you, I would not blame Biden, your answer is closer to home, pardon the pun.

Generally, there are two ways to jerk it up in a bad way: 1. Reassess where the little man comes out and looks around. 2. Re-evaluate where they play games with the numbers and usually adjust everyone equally although some times not exactly. There is also often just one time per year you can dispute and you better have good comp’s to do so. Sometimes a special dispute period is included in either process, sometimes this is more a gaining an “equal understanding” of the terms, especially in the second version. HOWEVER, I have used the second version to complain about estimates on my land and my house and they took em. I believe just to be rid of me and my attitude. The game, no matter what, on the second version is sum-zero revenue changes from current. But I think they incorporate a bit of slush just to silence ass-wipes like me. Let’s put it this way: they had to call a supervisor to my session after giving up. He said something about a sophisticated computer program and I heard a twig snap, it’s was my wife’s backbone. Sweet and silent, she has consulted on the IRS data system and AT&T’s customer databases, the old AT&T, and I think she took umbrage at the thought we could not understand.

So, even though it was a reconciliation meeting, not a dispute session, we came away with lower taxes than we were paying: almost a unique prospect in NJ.

Obviously, the second way is faster, cheaper.

So, I think your problem is local, there may be something you can do about it. But never let them see you get mad; once that happens they know they have you. And often there is an opportunity here even when the process does not appear to allow it. Worked for me. FYI: my Mom was 75 when I armed her with my folder of info. Pretty funny, her politics makes me look like Larry and she is not quiet; I had spent days listening to all sorts of bad names for these folks, a real firestorm. She too knocked down her price during a reconciliation. They said “she was so professional.” Jokes on me when she died a few years later and the listed tax value of the house was low it affected my ability to sell it at a higher price that it was worth. Plus a recession and I gave away a lake house, close to a mansion (old person run down though) for under $200K. Used to be owned by the VP of Welches Grapes.
Had a full green house. Life’s a funny duck; I told my siblings we should hold but NOOOOO.

          Good luck with the taxes.

Tom … Have you noticed how Frank keeps calling for “proof” — but then offers some link as HIS proof. He never considers that HIS information may be less than accurate. The figures in this commentary come off of a report on CNN that cites the Border Patrol stats. Franks obsession to prove me wrong — and to deflect every issue to a Trump issue — is crashing his own credibility. Even on those rare occasions that he agrees with me, he quickly pivots to ad hominin attacks and insults. He reminds me of the old lady in the ad constantly saying “Where’s the beef!” LOL

      • frank stetson

Except I never questioned your figures from CNN Border Patrol Statistics.

I did question, with evidence, your MS13 growth claim, his terrorist count claims, and his drug surge claim adding that given that, I question his facts in general, especially the unsourced ones. Unless he proves bias or incompetence in the source, which he hasn’t except for claiming it’s “his” as in mine, it’s a source, just like I would readily accept his CNN source, when he actually sources it. Frankly, most journalists do not take credit when lifting from another journalist.

In closing I said: “There’s much more misunderstanding here, but why bother, there is no discussion of the facts between us here. He will not correct my facts or his, just spew about third person and other whacky things. Just dismissals, diversions, and diatribe.”

        Seems spot on.

        • larry Horist

Frank Stetson ….. MS13 figures … Same source. And you do not seem to understand why I do not engage in an ongoing dialogue with your — preferring to ignore most of you comments. Despite you obsession, we are NOT in a one-on-one relationship. We are NOT mutual debaters — and cannot be since I do not consider you the sharpest knife in the drawer. You are NOT an official counterpoint to my commentaries. I have no reason to engage in a ongoing defense of my commentaries. They are my opinion based on facts, experience and a conservative POV. … period. No, I will not correct your so-called “facts” at every turn or I would have no time to write. Nor do I really care about your opinion of me … or the Larry Horist of your imagination you use as your straw man It is your obsession. Not mine.

      • Tom

Well I can relate to Frank calling for proof. I always give a link in quotes so folks can read what I read – I just think that is best practices for communication of information and thought. Allow me to give you a slice of beef that supports your post:

Trump did target MS-13 all through his presidency, see this PBS article at: “https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/whats-behind-the-trump-administrations-crackdown-on-ms-13”

Now this article from ProPublica disputes your claim that MS-13 is NOT growing, see at “https://www.propublica.org/article/ms-13-immigration-facts-what-trump-administration-gets-wrong?utm_campaign=sprout&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_content=1529917992”

HOWEVER: This Texas Gang Threat Assessment pdf article agrees with your statement about crossing over the border but disagrees with your statement that MS-13 is growing: “The threat from Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) has continued from the previous year,
solidifying their Tier 1 ranking status. MS-13 remains the most encountered gang illegally crossing the Texas-Mexico border in the Rio Grande Valley, though the number has decreased slightly since the border influx of illegal aliens in 2014.” So it appears the number crossing the border has decreased but other articles I found put the TOTAL ALL GANGS population at 100,000 with MS-13 remaining constant at about 10,000. MS-13 has been stubbornly persistent, but it remains a boutique criminal organization, accounting for a tiny portion of 1.4 million gang members nationwide. Trump’s Justice Department says there are about 10,000 MS-13 members in the U.S., the same number as 10 years ago. There’s also nothing new about MS-13 alarmism. Access the link to the Texas pdf at “https://www.medlinfirm.com/blog/ms-13-gang-feared/”

When we include the references, we can all get on the same page to help the discussion. I think Frank just wants to be on the same page. At least he is giving you his references now.

        • frank stetson

Pardon me, but I give lots of references, always have. Larry saying I don’t is Larry’s opinion, hard to believe you accept it at face value. He also calls me a frequent liar but hardly ever comes up with the goods. I just want the facts, no need to be in the same book, much less the same page, except for the facts.

  3. frank stetson

Larry seems to live in the past clinging to old tropes and stereotypes to feed your fears based on feckless facts. I will just bust the first ones and let readers do the rest. Larry has published lots of misinformation, spin, and untruths, IMO, not because he’s a liar, but because he’s a believer. In the past.

He begins by noting the crisis at the border, and he’s right, it’s bad, it’s on Biden’s watch, and not enough is being done. The topics are good, the support is mostly outdated misinformation, if it ever was true.

Larry talks about the criminal element and all the bad things they do because they are criminals and it’s true. MS13 does terrible things. Then Larry hits you with the kicker, an unsupported fact: “MS13 – that was targeted by the Trump administration – is again growing. Law enforcement officials estimate the MS13 membership now exceeds 10,000.” Larry said this, not some third-person: Larry. Except for the fact that the 10,000-member estimate has been there since 2016, confirmed in every year since then. Once in awhile it’s 10-20K, but mostly around 10K. Not a lie, but certainly spin. Jfgi – you will see that, at the 10,000 member level, there is no growing, much less “again growing.” Fear and loathing.

Then Larry, not some third person, shifts to terrorists stating: “11 known terrorists were intercepted in Trump’s four years in office. In the first two years of the Biden administration, the number is 151.” Of course, no source. To which I add the Trump White House statement: “3,775 known or suspected terrorists prevented from traveling or entering the U.S. by DHS in fiscal year 2017.” It’s a lie but the Trump White House said it. Here are the real numbers showing Larry apparently misunderstood the data. Not the giant uptick that Larry fears: “https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/cbp-enforcement-statistics”

Fear and loathing become unbounded with the conclusion: “In many ways, it is just a matter of numbers. If you allow more and more migrants to enter the country, you will get more and more criminals, drugs, and terrorists.” This is true, in aggregate, just like more guns equals more gun deaths. Anyone want to support that?

BUT — on the whole, immigrants have less criminality than our indigenous species in America. “https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/undocumented-immigrants-are-half-as-likely-to-be-arrested-for-violent-crimes-as-u-s-born-citizens/” Many sources beyond Scientific American confirm this.

On the HUGE surge in the drug epidemic, it’s pandemic based, rose a lot in 2020 and has tapered or dropped since then. It’s 2023, got to stay current Larry. According to the CDC, overdose deaths rose by 15% in 2021 which is half the increase of 2020; when Trump ruled. And in 2022, it began to fall. Here’s a source with pictures Larry, you can trace it with your crayon. “https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/drug-overdose-data.htm”

I can only summarize Larry’s research in that famous line delivered to Mary Todd: “besides that, how did you like the play?” Larry has assassinated the truth by relying on his age-old perceptions. He should know better. If you put a fact down: jfgi to be sure you are current. Or in the case of many of his faithful: at least in the ballpark…..

There’s much more misunderstanding here, but why bother, there is no discussion of the facts between us here. He will not correct my facts or his, just spew about third person and other whacky things. Just dismissals, diversions, and diatribe.

Yes, there’s a humanitarian crisis at the border, no doubt about it. And it’s on Biden’s watch. And he’s not doing enough about it.
But keep the false flag fears to yourself, get some facts, not lies, to state your case.
