If you remember last year about this time, there was a demonstration. A whole lot of people walked over to the Capitol building and they made a lot of noise. Since the Democrats pulled all of the security from around the Capitol and refused to reinforce them, some people went inside. As happens with demonstrations, some people broke a window. An incompetent police officer shot a person – as she was climbing in a window, apparently with no challenge.
Nobody else was killed because of it (some older conservatives apparently died of heart attacks), no footage that I have seen indicated that anyone in the Capitol building was ever in danger – although a lot of Democrats were hiding under desks. And I watched pretty much everything that was made public. A few people were assholes, but if that was a crime certain of my ‘fans’ would be in jail for life.
That’s it.
Now on the anniversary of this non-event, the Biden Administration is memorializing it like it was the combination of 9/11, a COVID outbreak and a massively fraudulent election!
The Democrats have spent the whole year pursuing the people who harmlessly entered the Capitol. I’ve heard many tales of basic rights trampled upon, people incarcerated for months without a trial, people sentenced to long terms on trumped up charges, and the FBI invading people’s privacy without warrants.
We saw various clips on the drive-by media, and somehow they convey nothing like the violence in the riots we saw in Portland, or even the violence of your average rock concert (Trump fans are a little bit older crowd). With the pervasiveness of cameras in today’s society, it seems they would have caught specific acts with a bit more conclusiveness.
But that is how dirty politics work. And here is the other side, the faux legit side.
These are some of the rather funny, certainly holier-than-thou remarks from the Biden Administration. Try not to shed a tear, or
Some quotes from Biden:
“watching it all on television and doing nothing” as police were assaulted and “the nation’s Capitol was under siege.”
“And I will allow no one to place a dagger at the throat of democracy.” (Like Biden is a REALLY fierce warrior, right?)
“…want to own this day of Jan. 6 so they can stoke fears and divide America. I say, let them have it because America sees through their lies and polarizations.” (as he spews lies and polarizations…)
“It is especially jaw-dropping to hear some Senate Democrats invoke the mob’s attempt to disrupt our country’s norms, rules and institutions as a justification to discard our norms, rules, and institutions themselves.” (Like cheating in an election isn’t disrupting our country’s norms?)
Dramatic arts from VP Harris:
“We all saw what our nation would look like if the forces who seek to dismantle our democracy are successful. The lawlessness, the violence, the chaos.” (Did she not see the riots in Portland?)
“What the extremists who roamed these halls targeted was not only the lives of elected leaders. What they sought to degrade and destroy was not only a building, hallowed as it is. What they were assaulting were the institutions, the values, the ideals that generations of Americans have marched, picketed, and shed blood to establish and defend.” (Targeted??? Degrade and Destroy?? Who the hell is she talking about??)
“We cannot let our future be decided by those bent on silencing our voices, overturning our votes, and peddling lies and misinformation; by some radical faction that may be newly resurgent but whose roots run old and deep.” (Can’t stand hypocrites…)
“The violent assault that took place here, the very fact of how close we came to an election overturned — that reflects the fragility of democracy.” (The only violence was against the crowd, not by the crowd)
Are you crying into your hanky yet? Can you believe the Democrats have this much imagination?
As an expert in propaganda, I think the point has been made. The true believers believe even more that on January 6th, 2020 America was almost sucked into a hole. Politicians on both sides have carefully decided to express their feigned outrage, just like they decided to not investigate an election rigged like the worst in the third world. The proper messages are getting through.
And a few of us choose to sniff out the facts as they appear without the rhetoric, the second guessing of audience reaction or the chants of the Animal-Farm-like media.
And the strongest odor still smells like what I used to scrape back off the floor of the barn back in Kentucky.
