Babies Born Alive against Abortions Being Killed in New Zealand

The murderous cult of abortion doesn’t stop at killing babies in the womb; in many cases, it even kills babies that survive abortion and are born alive. This month, the disturbing reality made news again, this time from information coming out of New Zealand, where abortion of the fetus up to 20 weeks into pregnancy was legalized in 2020 as an on-demand right of women.

On November 3, the pro-life nonprofit Family First New Zealand posted a press release based on official government data revealing that since early 2020, an average of one baby survives an attempted abortion at a medical facility every month but is denied life-saving medical care outside the womb. In other words, the doctors in charge leave the baby to die as if in vengeance for failing the doctor’s attempted killing in the womb.

As revealed by the data obtained by Family First New Zealand, the gestation period of these babies surviving abortion but being left to die range from 20 to 30 weeks. The press release by the conservative nonprofit wrote:

Disturbingly, Te Tai Tokerau district said that life-sustaining care is considered only for “wanted babies at 22 weeks + 5 days”. At Waikato, there is “parental discretion to opt in or opt out of resuscitation”. Canterbury have previously advised that the “baby is wrapped in a blanket and held until it passes”.

Unofficially, it is simply the intentional killing of infants by leaving them to die because the doctor has the mother’s consent to do so.

Family First New Zealand also noted that some large districts in the country including Waitemata, Counties Manukau, Bay of Plenty, Waikato, and Capital Coast & Hutt Valley refused to provide the data. LifeSiteNews (November 8) pointed to this fact and wrote that it means the real number of babies thus left to die may be even higher.

The pro-abortion measures were passed during the leftist government of Labour Party that advocates abortion as a woman’s right to choose. Since November 2023, the right-wing National Party of New Zealand has taken the reigns of the government. Bu it has been shy of acting against the abortion loopholes while still verbally advocating against abortion.

After Family First New Zealand exposed the murderous practice of doctors leaving newborns to die, the pro-life nonprofit called on the government to act in support of infant life. Its PR stated:

Based on this disturbing evidence, Family First is calling on the Government to immediately introduce and pass legislation which requires life-sustaining care of any child born alive after an attempted abortion.

The horrors of the liberal baby-killing cult are not confined to New Zealand but are found everywhere that is ruled by the left, either nationally or locally. Canada is one such murderous haven for abortionists where just this week an undercover investigation revealed what happens at some clinics in Toronto while the public is told by the medical industry that late-term abortions do not happen at their workplace.

Following the video of the investigation by RightNow, conservative Canadian lawmaker Dr. Leslyn Lewis condemned the denial of politicians and medical leaders that such late-term abortions were non-existent. She wrote on X:

“We cannot build compassion on denial. Because, in the end, we are the ones who define how valuable life is, and that definition shapes the kind of society we become.”
