Attorney General Lynch: 'Love' is the Way to Fight Terrorism

In speech in Orlando last Tuesday, the US Attorney General  and Cheif Law Enforcement Officer Lawyer, Loretta Lynch stated that the best response to terrorism is compassion, unity and love.

This feeble approach is the opposite of what a strong AG should be advocating post-terrorist attack.

“We stand with you to say that the good in this world far outweighs the evil, that our common humanity transcends our differences, and that our most effective response to terror and to hatred is compassion, it’s unity, and it’s love,” said Lynch. “We stand with you today as we grieve together, and long after the cameras are gone, we will continue to stand with you as we grow together in commitment, in solidarity, and in equality.”

Although these words may be comforting to the city of Orlando, this speech seems to be part of a larger hidden agenda.

Lynch and other administration officials have been trying to change the narrative of the devastating Orlando incident and have been claiming the event revealed a gun control issue, rather than a terrorist one.

These officials tried to redact portions of Mateen’s 911 calls, where he expressed his sympathies for radical Islamist and claimed to be an ISIS supporter. They described these transcripts as a “distraction” and argued that the calls may upset the people close to the Orlando victims.

But, this was all just a way to distract the public from the terrorist issue and try to gain support for stricter gun control laws.

Following the event, she started this narrative by stating “We need to have the hard discussion and talk about gun laws that allow an individual to legally purchase weapons that facilitate mass killing. We have to have those hard discussions,” said Lynch. “We will continue to investigate this attack and see if there are lessons we can learn to prevent another tragedy.”

Since then, Lynch has been using the Orlando event to support her political agendas. But, Obama’s administration should be more focused on fighting terrorism and protecting the country from allowing potential terrorists on US soil. Gun controls, compassion, unity and love is not the appropriate answer to fight terror.
