AOC Wants Channels Like Fox News Federally Regulated

Ex-bartender and current Democrat congresswoman from New York, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), has again been the target of mockery and criticism after making a wild statement about shutting down politically incorrect journalists.

On Sunday, April 23, AOC was interviewed by MSNBC’s Jen Psaki, who asked the congresswoman if she thought media organizations or social media platforms should be held accountable for “incitement.”

AOC seemed not to hide her mindset on this prompted invitation to advocate censorship. She said that TV media like Fox News are subject to federal regulation and accused Tucker Carlson of inciting violence.

The open call for bringing conservative news and anchors under federal regulation earned AOC instant backlash from conservative commentators. Dan Bongino called AOC a fascist, a dumb one, who is a disgrace to any decent people on this planet.

Robby Starbuck tweeted that AOC has gone full communist and shown her evil side.

Memes mocking AOC’s IQ also came as a response to her video calling for control of conservative media.

Before AOC, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer also called for removal of Tucker Carlson from Fox News last month after Tucker aired bits from the January 6 footage provided to him by Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. Schumer said:

“Rupert Murdoch, who has admitted they were lies and said he regretted it, has a special obligation to stop Tucker Carlson from going on tonight, now that he’s seen how he has perverted and slimed the truth, and from letting him go on again and again and again.”

The unseen January 6 footage had been hidden from the public for over two years by the January 6 Committee formed by the Democrats, including a few anti-Trump Republicans favoring the establishment.

The clips from the footage showed that the DC police facilitated the January 6 protest at Capitol Hill in DC as they helped some of the protesters get to the floor of the Senate instead of trying to stop or arrest them.

Most of the footage remains unseen by the public, and conservatives have repeatedly demanded its public release.

As Tucker Carlson suddenly left Fox News on April 24, in a move that made many followers suspect the channel removed him for his outspoken commentary on issues hurting the establishment, AOC celebrated the news, saying, “deplatforming works, and it is important.”
