
<p>Far left New York City Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and fellow “Social Democrat, Mayor Zohran Mamdani are giving rise to a new crop of “rogue radicals’’ — and that couldn’t be better for the GOP, the Republican National Committee chief said Sunday.</p>



<p>RNC Chair Joe Gruters predicted that the Dem Party will go so far to the left that Republicans will become the only sane choice in the upcoming midterm elections, allowing the GOP to retain control of Congress.</p>



<p>“What AOC and Mamdani and others are doing is giving confidence to these … left-wing rogue radicals across the country and giving them confidence to run for these races, which in turn turns their primary battles into who can go further to the left,” Gruters said Sunday on 77 WABC radio’s the “Cats Roundtable.”</p>



<p>“That helps all of our candidates on the Republican side because we are the party of reasonableness and common sense. I think that the other side has lost touch on reality,” he told host John Catsimatidis.</p>



<p>“Look at New York. You have AOC, you have Mamdani. They are the new face of the Democratic Party,” Gruters said of the far-left pols.</p>



<p>He claimed the GOP will “defy history,” since the party that occupies the White House — currently President Trump and Republicans — traditionally takes a beating in midterm elections.</p>



<p>Still, some independent analysts doubt that the Republicans will be able to maintain control of the House of Representatives in the midterm elections this fall.</p>



<p>The non-partisan Cook Political Report moved 18 House races nationwide ;toward Democrats, including a few races in New York.</p>



<p>Gruters meanwhile said AOC is making moves to consider ;running for president in ;2028.</p>



<p>“She has a lot of support out there. We’d love to see her as the Democratic nominee,” he said.</p>



<p>“Our candidates would love to go one-on-one against her.”</p>
