Trump to Jack Smith: “I Persevered and I Won”

President-Elect Donald Trump’s response to Jack Smith dropping the federal cases against him sounds pretty much like a flip of the presidential middle finger, posting: “I persevered, against all odds, and WON.”

“These cases, like all of the other cases I have been forced to go through, are empty and lawless and should never have been brought,” Trump wrote on his social media platform.

“It was a political hijacking and a low point in the history of our country that such a thing could have happened, and yet, I persevered, against all odds, and WON. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump added.

Vice President-elect JD Vance said Trump could have “spent the rest of his life in prison” had the outcome of the 2024 race been different.

“If Donald J. Trump had lost an election, he may very well have spent the rest of his life in prison,” Vance wrote on X. “These prosecutions were always political. Now it’s time to ensure what happened to President Trump never happens in this country again.”

Smith, in back-to-back court filings, cited the Justice Department’s “categorical” policy that he said bars the prosecution of a sitting president as the reason for his request to drop the federal election interference case and the classified documents case.

Later that same day, U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan dismissed the federal election subversion case against the president-elect.

Trump pleaded not guilty to four charges, including conspiracy to defraud the United States, brought by Smith in connection with Trump’s alleged attempts to overturn his 2020 election loss to President Joe Biden. The case was plagued with delays and developments, including a Supreme Court decision that a president is entitled to some immunity from criminal prosecution for official acts during their time in office.

Trump also pleaded not guilty to the 40 criminal counts related to his handling of classified material after leaving the White House. The case was dismissed by a federal judge in Florida in July, though Smith had been appealing the decision.

During his presidential campaign, Trump told supporters he was their “retribution” and that he was “being indicted for you.”

Steven Cheung, the incoming White House communications director, called Smith’s decision a “major victory for the rule of law” and said Americans want Trump to end the “weaponization of our justice system.”

Some of Trump’s most important allies on Capitol Hill also celebrated the development.

“Huge win for America, President Trump, and the fight against the weaponization of the justice system,” House Speaker Mike Johnson wrote on X. “This was ALWAYS about politics and not the law.”

With his legal woes behind him and poised to roar back into the Oval Office, Trump has hinted that he may flex his pardon power to exonerate some of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol rioters who had stormed Congress.

Seth, glad to be here for you to take out your frustrations in your life.

You do know that we took 17 of the 20 highest median States in America.
Your “crowd” took 17 of the 20 lowest median States in America.

That pretty well sets up who the dumbasses are; the ones who earn less, achieve less education, and more. But you do die from covid more often.

Here’s the point. You are frustrated with your life. You are pissed. You need a scapegoat, a villain, to blame for your shortcomings. You inflate your personal problems to the nation claiming we are destroying American and taking you with us. Except we are in the 20 highest median states and we’re doing fine. So, you pick on those making more than you, that’s us. And you complain about those beneath you and nipping at your heels: immigrants. It’s the perfect storm of hate to sooth your own frustrations caused by your poor life choices.

One adage: if it’s to be, it’s up to me.

Fix your own life and leave me and mine alone. Quit blaming me for the destruction of America and you ill fortunes. America is just fine: Trump didn’t kill it, although he did try to stop our vote. And Biden didn’t kill it, you can still buy stuff, inflation is down, border crossings are down, crime is down, and the economy is booming. Take credit, as you will, but move forward and leave me alone.

Seth, it’s a solid win, as I have said, and you have a slim margin in House and Senate. And two years before the next roll of the die.

Basically the down ballot races fared the same and there was no giant red wave nor did Trump pull at the States. You picked up some, a few more than us and we picked up some from you. No maga surge federal or state. And Alaska is ours, weird.

And,weirder yet, was what I said before and apparently you discounted. That is, we took 17 of the top 20 median income states. And you did the same for the bottom 20. Pull the map and look at a combined chart of median income and 2024 voting patterns. It freakishly provides an explanation for the maga effect. It also helps explain the level of frustration in America that results in a vote for an authoritarian pledging to change America.

But if you expect the country to roll over and do anything that Trump says it should do, you may want to start by first looking at your house. One or two defections, and you will lose the vote. In terms of Congress, that’s not much change over where we’ve been for the past four years. The only difference is Our guy could work across the aisle, and your guy can only beat people over the head.

As I keep saying, the entire enchilada is yours, best luck on making it work.

Trump has real patriots backing him. And we won’t stand for him being harassed by the left. Just saying.

I would love to know where you got your information from with all the falsehoods listed in the next to last line in your last paragraph. Everyone of those listed achievements are false and even been reported as such by the fake media. You seem to be like Biden and just making stuff up that sounds good.

Rick, glad to respond. But be specific. Not sure it’s even me or which post.

    So, Jim, you’re a self–professed, self-acclaimed, “real patriot?”

And, if Trump is harassed, arevyou are just saying, as a real patriot, that you will rise above the law and “won’t stand for it?”

What are you planning; to sit for it?

I am frank, and I spell my name: Danger.

Frank Danger: third eye. I call this story: cut em off at the past. ” Let’s get down to business. Uncross those beautiful stems of yours, baby, here’s the case I call number 666: the Patriot. It all began innocently enough on Tuesday. I was sitting in my office on that drizzly afternoon listening to the monotonous staccato of rain on my desktop and reading my name on the glass of my office door. “Regnad Knarf”. My secretary lay snoring on the floor, her long, beautiful gams pinioned under the couch. I didn’t hear him enter, (creaky door/walking) but my nostrils flared at the smell of his perfume… Pyramid Patchouli. There was only one joker in L.A. sensitive enough to wear that scent and I had to find out who he was.” Another case from the tattered casebook of……… Frank Danger, third eye.

I for one can not begin to tell you the Financial Hardships me and the people across this country have faced
the last 3 years as Biden continued to destroy this country’s economic standing.

Kids are getting feisty, could be a time out teachable moment soon….. In less than 24 hours, Wampler, Seth and Darren have tossed threats, sounding somewhat physical, while the cheering section eggs them on.

Jim Wampler is a patriot and he just won’t stand for left-wing Trump harassment. Now Darren says: “Anyone NOT FOR TRUMP, is NOT FOR AMERICA! The line has been drawn in the sands of history. Better decide what side you wish to stand on!” Gee, is that a “or else” I read into this implied threat? All you folks, look around. What you say you will never let happen is happening all time. So, are you going to keep tossing pixels at people or are you going to get it on?

I just find it incredible that the free speech crowd can tolerate lies, fake conspiracies, oh fuck —- just look at the ads here for stuff they get talked into buying. I find it incredible that these patriots, these free speech extremists, are have a meltdown over words.

Hey Darren, if you and yours are in financial deep kimche and me and mine are not, whatttya think —– we’re robbing you blind? Or might there be some other economic factor at play, perhaps even tied to one or more social issues precluding you from pecuniary gain in the modern world. IOW — maybe you just fucked up, shoulda stayed in school or taken a better curriculum, or —– fucking move to a blue State where median incomes are higher, tax revenues are higher, government cares more about the people than getting on FOX, and do better. Remember, when I started in DC our saying was: what a great town, they even through hippies good scraps here. And then I got my degree. And then I got a great job which gave me an advanced degree. And after my first job raking rocks post college, I have never been let go, let down, downsized, until I retired at my young 50’s to do something else. I’d rather be dead than red, so do whatever. I will be blue forever; it pays better and I don’t have to demean entire races, creeds, and religions to do so. I think God likes that. But he does not like your threats. Pretty sure of that.

Perhaps you should cool it down, tone down the attacks, stick to the issues, let’s debate. Threats are how school yard debates are settled. You are better than that.
