Ronna McDaniel hired and fired exposes leftwing hypocrisy

Ronna McDaniel hired and fired exposes leftwing hypocrisy

Within a nanosecond of NBC’s hiring former Republican National Chairman Ronna McDaniel as a political analyst, the entire leftwing media mob went bonkers.  The unprecedented on-air outrage of the New York media elite was ultimately successful in cowing NBC top brass to reverse their decision and fire McDaniel after only one appearance on the Network.

Chuck Todd, the former host of MSNBC’s “Meet the Press” got the black ball rolling while guesting on the show he once anchored.  He claimed that McDaniel has “a credibility problem.”

(I have to digress. Can you imagine anyone complaining about another person’s credibility with less legitimacy than Chuck Todd – other than the rest of the lineup at MSNBC, that is?)

Todd said:

“There’s a reason why there are a lot of journalists at NBC News uncomfortable with this because many of our professional dealings with the RNC over the last six years have been met with gaslighting, have been met with character assassination.”

Ironically, McDaniel also appeared on “Meet the Press” ahead of Tood. The new anchor Kristen Welker began the McDaniel interview by saying it was scheduled “weeks ahead” of her being hired by NBC.  In a bit of an apology, Welker said, “This will be a news interview, and I was not involved in her hiring.”

In his later appearance on the show, Todd said:

“I think our bosses owe you (Kristen Welker) an apology for putting you in this situation. Because I don’t know what to believe. She is now a paid contributor by NBC News, so I have no idea whether any answer she gave to you was because she didn’t want to mess up her contract.”

The staff rebellion was most notable in NBC’s “Rosemary’s Baby” offspring, MSNBC.  Rachel Maddow, the network’s uber left “preachy female” (as Democrat strategist James Carville dubbed the ladies of the left) declared the hiring to be “inconceivable.”  It was so inconceivable that she declared it so repeatedly.

Maddow said that initially MSNBC management had accepted the parent company’s decision but has since changed its mind.  According to Maddow – with great emphasis and pride — MSNBC will not allow McDaniel to appear on any of the network’s shows.  She is banned … censored.

This is consistent with MSNBC’s consistent leftwing philosophy of censorship.  Maddow had previously announced – with great emphasis and pride – that the network would not cover Trump’s speeches.

Virtually the entire MSNBC lineup of leftwing personalities piled on – including Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, Niccole Wallace, Lawrence O’Donnell, Jen Psaki,

MSNBC –from management to the working staff — is a disgrace to journalism, the Constitution and is a threat to the fundamentals of democracy.  They are what the media is like under tinhorn dictators.

Perhaps this is what James Carville was referring to when he accused leftwing Democrats of being “too censorious.” (That country boy knows some big words.)

Maddow claimed opposition to McDaniel is not about politics, which means it is ALL about politics – and unimaginable hypocrisy.  Lest we forget, this is the station that already has a former Republican National Chairman, Michael Steele, on its payroll.  He is acceptable for one obvious reason.  He has converted to the MSNBC playbook for the paycheck.

MSNBC is rife with other politicos playing pundits for pay.  Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has her own show on MSNBC.  Symone Sanders-Townsend, former spokesperson for presidential candidate Bernie Sanders and later spokesperson for Vice President Kamala Harris, has her own show.  The list of paid “contributors” is filled with ex-political operatives from the far left.

Hiring former political personalities is not unique to MSNBC and is not new.  ABC’s George Stephanopoulos was White House Communications Director under President Clinton.

There are two possible reasons why NBC may have hired McDaniel – and only one why they fired her.  They may have initially seen the need to add balance and journalistic integrity to their reporting. (If you find that incredulous, remember I said, “may have.”)  The other is to improve their ratings against the more conservative and more balanced FOX News – which has crushed MSNBC’s ratings for years.  Apparently, MSNBC is so permeated with radical left employees that dogma trumps both ratings and journalistic principles.

In firing McDaniel, NBC lowered the nadir of leftwing media hypocrisy and political depravity – establishing that MSNBC’s commitment to censorship and one-sided propaganda is the tail that wags the dog.  Perhaps this is an example of what Democrat operative James Carville meant when he said, “There are a lot of people on the left that would rather lose and be pure because it makes them feel good, it makes them feel superior.”

To paraphrase the Washington Post tagline, “Journalism dies in broad daylight.”

So, there ‘tis.

The NBC executive cutting this deal apparentlty went to the New Coke school of marketing. This was a turd from the get-go and you can’t polish a turd. Hat’s off for the executive’s couple of fast swipes with the polishing clothe —- first, will not appear on MSNBC unless invited, quickly followed by will not be on MSNBC at all, followed by —– HEY LUCY, he’s got a lot of ‘splaning to do as he stopped fishing and cut bait. New Coke all over again.

Mr. Horist, the issue RMcDaniel to actual actions to support The Big Lie and to rig the 2020 election working Trump’s plans. Folks were pretty blunt like Maddow stating like hiring “a mobster to work at a D.A.’s office.” I caught that one live: PRICELESS.

The rest of your dithering notwithstand, this one is pretty simple. Upon being vetted, it turns out RMcDaniel’s took some pretty criminal actions which apparenty pissed off the staff to the point that management listened. Why? Because the audience was pro staff. And because it’s true, it’s right.

She purposely said things, but more important took actions to rig the 2020 election. RM called election officials in Michigan asking to delay state certification of results. She better hope the law does not go that deep into the weeds and bring her into court where she belongs.

During her MSNBC interview which Maddow noted had to be biased given she was being paid by NBC based on the answers, i.e. had a new contract, she said Biden is the legitimate President, I guess burning her right-wing extremist bridge. Good.

At least Pence finally did the right thing, albeit very late, so he gets a Mulligan. RM never did the right thing even when money was being offered to do it right.

She also said: “When you’re the R.N.C. chair, you kind of take one for the whole team, right?” adding “Now I get to be a little more myself.” You mean honest and not a criminal? You are admitting “yourself” would not have done that? This is similar to Horist (and many other good conservatives) voting for Trump three times while claiming he likes the policies, not the person. And when pushed on cruel policies, well, I didn’t like all of them. Nope, in for a peck, in for a pound —- and there were not many, if any, good Germans from 42 to 45. Hey, they could pull that shit for the first three years, but after 42…. come on. After the third Trump vote, come on. After she called Michigan, come on.

Pataki, Steele, etc. don’t have this image issue as actively supporting what many view as a crime. Least not that i know.
Perhaps Hoirst has the straight skinny on that. But what McDaniel’s did, that’s not politics, that’s’ crime.

Todd, Maddow, and the rest stood up, said their piece, and risked their jobs. Kudos to NBC for their transparent quick reaction and making the right choice. And if someone is looking for a valuable associate who will bend with any breeze to get along to get along, RM is available now.

As to the rest of Horist’s conclusions, connections, correlations, whatever — who cares. It’s legal, she’s gone, buck up. Although I did pause on “MSNBC –from management to the working staff — is a disgrace to journalism, the Constitution and is a threat to the fundamentals of democracy.” Eh, got proof? No credibility for Maddow or Todd? Maddow is one of the best investigative reports with a crack team that you will find thoughout history. And she mixes a mean cocktail, likes to canoe and fish, heh —- fun and smart. Todd— heh, not impressed, but certainly he’s got credibility. Well, I guess and you can say the say ——- consider the source.

MSNBC, like all the rest of MSM is Leftist and wouldn’t know the truth if it bit them in the butt. They can not have a Conservative voice because the truth might come out and the Left can not stand the truth. Facts, what are they, to the Left, the Left hates facts.

      • FRANK STETSON

KSny: they have many conservative voices. It’s just that any conservative that does not go full Trump is tossed from the tribe, deemed a sellout, a RINO, and shunned by the Trumplicant Party that replaced the Republican Party.

You say the left cannot stand the truth. Tis your opinion which you cannot back up with facts. Now, I can show you all of Trump’s lies and I can show you all the people that are OK and voted for more of that shit.

Hey, Trump Lies is now a wiki page, fucking leftist wiki liars, ha, ha: *https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_or_misleading_statements_by_Donald_Trump*

Gee, can’t find one for leftists or Biden……..

        • larry Horist

Frank Stetson … you are saying more outrageous nonsense every day. MSNBC has “many conservative voices.” LMAO You mean like Joe Scarborough claims. LOL. Or Michael Steele?? Or all the rest of the false flaggers???? LOL You are clueless regarding conservative philosophy? It is not all about Trump –as you and MSNBC obsess. It is a belief system in less government and more individual freedom. If is the opposite of the uber leftwing Democratic Party. Just because people call themselves conservatives … or Republicans … Does not mean they are conservative. You ARE Waldorf. Complaining about
things about which you know very little. LOL

          • FRANK STETSON

Uh, Steele was head of RNC, Republican AG for MD, founderd RLC, FOX news pundit, and you are a Chicago guy who worked nationally for the crook Nixon and the icon Reagan.

Scarborough was Republican House member and no longer a Republican. While he was in office, had a 95% rating by conservatives on conservative issues and votes. You may have a point. He may still be a conservative, but has moved left of center.

And no, it is all about Trump. Has been since 2016. You will be a three time Trump voter. You are a Trumplicant now.

You whine that I am Waldorf. You are a pugnacious prick picking a fight you will not win. Keep picking.

  2. larry Horist

Frank Stetson … Another hodge podge of your narrow opinions without a scintilla of evidence. Where’s your proof? (Hmmm? That sounds familiar. Oh yeah! That is your line.) This is the one that had me laughing. You write: “Maddow is one of the best investigative reports with a crack team that you will find throughout history.” If you want to salvage your own credibility, you really need to stop saying such manifestly stupid crap. Even my leftwing friends, who are hooked on MSNBC, think Maddow and Scarborough are embarrassments.

    • Tom

Yes, but Larry, I have honestly come to doubt your friends, real and imaginary ones! Your friends did not have a problem with the racial slurs you said in your article about Biden’s trip to Raleigh NC. Your friends thought the chicken and watermellon combo slur was fine according to you. Your friends also did not seem to mind the way you contorted 53 seconds of an seven minute and fifty three second video where you cut out all of the good stuff Biden and the family talked about, and made the family sound rather cheap and stereotyped.

And then others of your friends think your comment that Blacks only vote Dem to get free stuff, giving Blacks the image of bought for a price freeloaders instead of the reality that they have thinking minds and situations where they agree with the Dems more is another example of how your friends give you free passes on racism.

So in my opinion, referencing your friends as character witnesses for you or your point of view is a very low bar, and mostly not credible.

      • larry Horist

Tom … You have surpassed decency in your insults. Your suggestion that I would say or do anything that could be remotely considered as racist is just an example of your ignorance of me — and your dishonest spin on what I have written. You are the perfect leftwinger — a person who sees racism in any area of disagreement. Your race card is getting pretty tattered. In smearing what you call my friends, you are smearing a LOT of black friends. None one of whom agrees with your twisted interpretation of my writing. This post again betrays your pomposity and arrogance in assuming that you know me and my friends — that you can pass judgements. And again you are preaching from you lonely balcony to an empty auditorium. LOL

        • Tom

LOL Larry, it can’t be that empty, you seem to get the message and feel you need to fight back rather than realize that you have a racial flaw which is OBVIOUS! Hey Larry, why is it your friends do not come on here to rescue you and come to your defense. I do not believe you have as many Black friends as you say! Not a one has ever replied yet you say they disagree – I think the real truth is that you are disagreeing for them! You assume they would not agree with me.

Larry, my only purpose is to balance your atrociously one-sided articles. And I have not insulted anyone Black, I am calling out you, not them. Larry says they have a price and only vote for handouts. Larry associate them with chicken and watermelon slurs and then comments that he was joking. It is Larry that associated their color with “black ball rolling” strongly intimating the color of Black with and as a negative. So stop the spinning and lying, it is you that said all of these things in the last three months! Some of these comments were made during Black History Month Larry, its not about “any area of disagreement” as you say. IT’S YOUR RACISM STUPID!!! And these are all examples of your ignorance of yourself and how racist you can come off sounding!!!

Larry, please have a couple of your supposed “Black friends” reply specifically to the three racial slurs I stated in the paragraph above. I want to see what they truly say, not what you say they say. Your STS rating does not show you to be credible enough to be believed without evidence. You can raise your STS rating by: 1) showing balance, 2) stopping spin, 3) No lies and if yoiu are going to quote statistics, quote the date of those statistics as well, 4) Turn from your racism and scrub your articles (train your editor) to scrub your articles for anything racist.

The only reason you say I am a perfect left-winger is because you are way out there on the right. So far out that anyone in the center who just wants to add balance appears left to you. If you would not write such atrociously far right lies and spin, I would not have to compensate with the truth so severe and deep that it embarrasses you and makes me look left. Raise your game and you will find me different.

    • FRANK STETSON

Horist, you show me yours and I will show you……. You skip answering most questions posed and offter little factual support for your allegations. Deride, demean, are your stock and trade.

Your answer: it’s an opinion Horist, and as such, really does not demand factual support. Opinion, remember.

BUT —- IMO, I have seen Maddow scoop many stories, some topical, some just pure investigative reporting. Also, I have seen Maddow take a different angle on existing stories showing them in a new light, with new ideas, something you could aspire to as most of your angle are “old-style” thinking from the 50’s. Mayberry is a fictional place Horist, get over it..

  3. WILLIAM WORKMAN

NBC is a tight well run organization run by good Germans. They apparently have no self awareness but that’s what it takes to stay in the bubble. It’s a mix of Corporatism and capitalism mixed with distrust of democracy you would have seen in 1930’s Germany.

  4. Darren

Everyone at MSNBC will continue to Kiss Ass as this is the only place all those people in the current administration can go for a JOB when Biden is out of the White House.
The FOOLS currently holding a job there know there will be a complete new set of FOOL candidates looking for work in 8 months.
LIP BALM. AND PUCKER UP. JOB SECURITY!
They might all become a podcasting Lemmon that is.

    • tom

“LIP BALM AND PUCKER UP” hmmm, Sounds like you have some experience you are not telling Darren!! Please tell!!!

I guess most of us would lip balm and pucker up if we were making MSNBC salaries! What’s in your wallet???

  5. Tom

This article gets an Stop The Spin rating STS-4 There are no lies, but an incredible amount of hypocrisy dripping from Larry’s words. Let me point out a few:

    1) Here you go again Larry in your racist ways, associating the color Black as in “black ball” with credibility problems. I wonder how many Black people like having their color associated with something bad or undesirable like that? But your friends probably find it to be just fine. Why couldn’t you have just said, “get the ball rolling” which is racially neutral? Why didn’t you call it a white ball? There is a white ball in billiards, its called the queue ball. You lend credence to the old saying that you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. Larry, racist thoughts drip from your lips in ways you do not realize, nor can you edit out because of your blindness!!! Just like in past articles with chicken and watermelon jokes.

    2) Larry, how is MSNBC’s decision not to have RM back on any NBC show any worse than Trump saying he does not want Halley voters? Both are forms of censorship! Both situations exclude people which is not good. Larry, you are a self confessed free market man. NBC is tailoring its programming to its market, which according to you seems to be liberal minded class of people. What is wrong with that? I see you as the hypocrite in the room, a disgrace to journalism, the Constitution and a threat to the fundamentals of democracy, robust debate, and free market principles.

    3) Another hypocrisy of Larry comes out in this article. He writes that it is bad journalism for MSNBC to not have Trump speeches, RM, and other conservatives on their shows, YET, he does the same thing by rarely presenting the Dem side of an issue in his articles. And when an Independent like me tries to present the other side, he gets vicious, name calling, and demeaning of his readers. Many of us have felt Larry’s scorn because we commented with the other side of the issue; we presented the negatives of Larry’s side, all to make things more balanced – but Larry is not concerned with balance, only with pushing conservative ideology on his readers. Larry’s theme in this article is MSNBC is hypocritical, bad for the country, our constitution, and his conservative ideology, thus we should not listen to them. To steal Larry’s words, he is “ALL about politics – and unimaginable hypocrisy. ”

    4) So what if MSNBC is filled with left wing operatives, Fox is filled with right wing operatives but Larry says nothing. Hey Larry, stop being a dumbass and realize it the business model stupid!!! Just like your business model that is obvious in your articles is all about right wing conservatism, and your articles are just as filled with right wing rah rah and bad bad left. Larry, take a class on how to work a tv remote and change channels!!! Or have your nurse aid do it for you after changing your diaper!!!

    5) At least MSNBC is attempting to balance which is good for democracy and robust debate. Larry, where is your attempt to balance in this piece of poop writing you hypocrite!!! Larry, show me one article where you have attempted to honestly present both sides and let the writer think and conclude without your coercion. You rile the independent spirit in me!!!

    6) Larry’s closure can easily be applied to him as well based on his lack of presenting the other side, he cites Carville where I will just change one word, ““There are a lot of people on the right that would rather lose and be pure because it makes them feel good, it makes them feel superior.” When are you going to get it Larry???

General comment: I am not an MSNBC watcher. I am not a GOP’er so I do not know much about RM except that many have said she did some criminal things dealing with the Trump big lie and 1/6 that she is lucky not to be in front of a judge for yet. I hate to see people lose their job but she may just be thanking her lucky stars in the end. God has a plan for everyone and He took her out of the RNC situation. My feeling is MSNBC is a business just like punchingbagpost is a business. Lets just stop bickering about the business models and find one that is right for you! This article did nothing towards any critical events of the day, nor did it address anything important to Independents. It was just a bag of Larry poop!

    • larry Horist

Tom … You are losing it. Black ball is a standard expression from fraternity recruitment. It has NOTHING to do with black people any more than blackboard, blackmail, Blackbeard (the pirate), etc., etc., etc. You ARE the Statler show …LMAO. The rest of your response is nothing but the
usual childish insults and pathetic logic and meaningless pomposity. And who is your audience? LOL

      • Tom

Well Larry, obviously you, Frank, Darren, Darryl, American, Jim Wampler, and several others. They have all responded to me. Again, you are totally desensitized to your racist comments. The “fraternity recruiting slogan” may be true but it comes from the racist times in which you lived as a youth – and like Frank Stetson says, you seem to stay in that old 1950’s thinking! “childish insults and pathetic logic and meaningless pomposity.” describes most of what you write in comments and a fair amount of what you write in articles – so I will believe you on this as you surely have the experience in such writings. I consider you an expert. You see Larry, we can still find things that we agree on!!! Again, all I am doing is rating you and supplying balance to the issue. So your comment is actually a reflection upon your writing my dear friend!!! :>) LMAO!!!

        • TOM

Larry, perhaps you should read the uses of the word “blackball” and update your 1950’s brain! See *https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/blackball * So that you do not work too hard, here are the uses:

          verb
vote against; refuse to endorse; refuse to assent

          synonyms: negative, veto

          types:
defeat, kill, shoot down, vote down, vote out
          thwart the passage of

          type of:
          contradict, controvert, oppose
          be resistant to

          verb
expel from a community or group

synonyms: ban, banish, cast out, ostracise, ostracize, shun

          noun
the act of excluding someone by a negative vote or veto

          synonyms: barring

          type of:
          ejection, exclusion, expulsion, riddance
the act of forcing out someone or something

BOTTOM LINE: LARRY YOU LEARNED THIS SAYING BACK WHEN NEGATIVE RACIST SPEECH WAS ACCEPTABLE, THUS YOU DO NOT PERCEIVE YOURSELF AS BEING RACIST WHEN YOU USE IT IN ASSOCIATED WITH GETTING SOMETHING ROLLING THAT IS “NEGATIVE”.

I COULD NOT FIND ANY DATA ON YOUR STATEMENT THAT IT IS A TERM FROM HISTORY AS A TERM USED FOR “FRATERNITY RECRUITING SLOGAN” EXCEPT IF YOU WERE “REJECTING FRATERNITY APPLICANTS”. AGAIN, THE WORD BLACK IS BEING USED TO DENOTE REJECTION, DISAPPROVAL. ANOTH4R RACIST TERM FROM BACK THEN WAS “WHITEWASHED” USED TO DENOTE SOMETHING THAT HAS BEEN MADE VERY CLEAN. BLACK USED TO BE DIRTY, REJECTION, ETC. WHITE USED TO BE CLEAN, PURE, READY FOR USE.

YOU SIMPLY ARE BEING STUBBORN AND NOT WILLING TO EXAMINE YOURSELF, THUS I MUST EXAMINE YOU!!!

          • larry Horist

Tom …. I am well aware of the many uses of the term blackball, you completely missed the point. It is not a racist term. Not every time we use the word “black” is there a racial implication. To drop the black ball in the box was a means of anonymously rejecting someone for club or fraternity membership. It is the origin of the term. You see racism where it does not exist. And no matter how many times you attempt to say I harbor racist opinions — or write anything racist– you are misrepresenting the facts and the truth. Since I know the the truth and you only know your false claim, what you say has no meaning to me.

I see you have been on a roll attacking me. You are adding nastiness to you pomposity and arrogance. And now taking up the cyber version of SCREAMIMG. LOL

Allow me to explain why if find your rating system silly. It goes along with your claim to be serving some public interest in providing “balance” to my writing. Your rating is not the product of some objective and knowledgeable authority. It is a gimmick that you use in an attempt to give your judgmental opinions a false credibility. You are actually judging your own opinions as opposed to mine. LOL It would be like allowing the baseball catcher to call balls and strikes. And even at that, you call it a public service that has no public audience. That is where you are delusional. So … I just say it is silly — meaning a lot of effort for no good purpose.

I already have permanent possession of Frank’s goat, and based on the desperation that comes through your increasingly frequent posts focusing on the writer, I guess I am now I am getting yours. LOL Calm down boys. Maybe you need to listen to Louis Armstrong singing “Its a Wonderful World.” on endless loop for a few days.

          • FRANK STETSON

            Tom,
Calling a spade a spade, I see where you are coming from, but it’s the weeds for me. Yes, using the color black as a negative might make blacks feel bad. The night is offended too as is the dark.

Like the idiom I noted, yeah, I have dropped black balling from my bag of silly sayings just better not said. English is a marvelous language in that there’s almost always many alternatives. Especially for these marginal statements. However, Horist’s watermellon comments are a direct taunt to blacks using a defined stereotypical signal to racism. That’s a horse of another color altogether.
