MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace lays out Democrat 2022 strategy. ha, ha, ha

It is obvious from the nature of the news reporting that the radical left believes that they have a way to derail what is expected to be strong Republican gains in the 2022 midterm election – even as they are making excuses for the pending setback.

As far as excuses go, the problem, according to the Democrats, is that they are just not doing a good job of messaging – telling the people all the good things they claim they have done for the people.  Of course, the media cronies have been playing that message over and over.  The problem is not getting the message out.  It is that the public is not drinking the Kool-Aid.

Many on the left do not think the happy-days-are-here- again approach is the right message.  They have a better(?) idea.  It was seen on MSNBC’s “Dateline: White House” program hosted by Nicole Wallace.  This particular show featured such hardcore Republican-haters as Charlie Sykes, editor of The Bulwark.  He is a former Republican (as is Wallace) who claims to still be a conservative (which Wallace does not).  The other guest contributors were Kimberly Atkins Stohr, of the Boston Globe and Jake Sherman, founder of Punchbowl News – sycophants.

They believe that it is essential – even existential – for Democrats to make the 2022 elections exclusively about … the demise of the Republic if Republicans win control of the House and/or the Senate — and elect any governorships, state attorneys general, secretaries of state and seats on school boards.

This goes along with the Democrat’s ongoing efforts to convince the American public that the awful riot on Capitol Hill was an insurrection … a failed coup attempt.  And that the 233-year-old American democracy came close to ending on January 6, 2021.  The riot was condemnable, but the Republic was not at the slightest risk.

Democrats and their media cronies have expanded the events on Capitol Hill to an ongoing conspiracy to overthrow the government in the 2022 election.  (They miss the irony of trying to discredit the future election after all their rejections of Trump’s warnings that the 2020 elections would be stolen by the Democrats.  That is pure hypocrisy.)

Stroh summed up the left’s political narrative by saying without equivocation that if Republicans get control of the Congress, it will mark “the end of our democracy.”  That theme was echoed by Sykes, Sherman and Wallace.

Not only are they pushing that as “a” narrative, but they propose that it should be the only issue upon which Democrats should campaign.  Forget about inflation, the border crisis, high crime rates, war in Ukraine and woke education.  They even suggest abandoning Democrat efforts to convince the voting public that Democrats have achieved some positive accomplishment, such as … uh… hmmm …

They claim that the only issue should be the protection of the Republic from the specious danger they have concocted.  Nothing else is important … apparently not even climate change.

The Wallace team may not have noticed that the GOP-will-destroy-democracy narrative is not working with the public any better than the things-are-a-lot-better-than-you-think narrative.

What surprised me most is that supposedly intelligent people can believe that their bullpoop – either variety – will defeat Republican campaign issues in 2022.  These are the kinds of suggestions only desperate – really desperate – people conjure up.

If all the Democrats have to offer is to convince the public that what they see in their daily lives is not real — or that an end-of-the-world campaign narrative best suited for Hollywood movies — they are truly in trouble.

It is a little like seeking one of two carpenters to build some kitchen cabinets. One carpenter sounds like he would to a good job, but the other guy screams hysterically: “IF YOU HIRE THE OTHER GUY, HE WILL TEAR DOWN YOUR ENTIRE HOUSE RIGHT TO THE FOUNDATION!!!”

Wallace & Co. are not outliers in terms of Democrat thinking.  Others proffer the same dark vision.  House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s kangaroo Select Committee is supposed to close the deal on the doomed democracy conspiracy theory.  That is because Democrats are smart enough to know that the Department of Justice will not be able to find an insurrection much less a coup attempt no matter how hard the left pumps that narrative in the court-of-public-opinion.

What will all those Chicken Littles on the left say when Republicans do take control of the House and the sky does not fall – and the sun rises the morning after the November election?  And the American Republic is as sound as ever.  Will they call it a rigged election – without any proof?  Will they blame it all on Elon Musk owning Twitter?  Or will they blame it all on Putin?

I have been advising candidates for many years.  If I were to advise Democrats this year, I would tell them to give up.  You have nothing to run on that is resonating with the people.  And your nutty narratives will only produce a bigger victory for the GOP.

Wanna bet that if Republicans sweep the midterm elections, we will still have a strong democratic Republic this time next year?  Maybe even stronger.

So, there ‘tis.

The only way democrats win in the midterms is if they are blue to cheat and pull off a rigged election as ell as they did in 2020 Presidential election.

First of all is I don’t see what this imbecile Wallace has to laugh about, her ratings are sinking faster then Bidens polices and she will soon be in the same boat as her namesake who jumped from Fox to CNN plus( what kind of idiot was he?) so pretty soon Nicole and her 100 fans will be on a after midnight show wondering where she went wrong. It could not happen to a nicer person.

Larry Horist. You never cease to amaze me how ill-informed, ill-logical and inarticulate you can been when you go off on one of you loooong rollercoaster screeds. I do not respond point-by-point because you make no relevant points. And besides, responses would be ineffective since you require remedial education. And before you hypocritically accuse me of an ad hominine attack, re-read own posts. IN every way, you seem to be what you criticize most.

WAH – Trumpublicans like Larry won’t play fair so I am going home.

The best strategy Igor democrats is to allow republicans to celebrate their SCOTUS victory and let them take full credit for something that only about 20% of the voters wanted. Remind the voters who is censoring speech and banning books. All this under the “small government” mantra.
Pretty sure that Dems won’t have to do much more than simply say, “ we will let you live your life as you see fit”.

B4ACE … First of all the support for not overturning Roe is about 65% — so 35% would be happy. But the tables turn when you look at limitation. About 68% oppose abortion after the first trimester — which is what most of those GOP laws are doing. When it come to the thirds trimester, the opposition to abortion goes over 80%. Those are the figures today from Steve Kornacki on MSNBC. There is another twist. Most of those who do not want to see Roe overturned are under the misconception that overturning Roe would ban all abortions. Abortion has never been a game changer when it comes to voting. In many surveys, it is not even in the top ten issues that concern voters. A very high percentage of those 65% who opposing overturning Roe will base their vote on something else. You can read my more detailed analysis on an upcoming commentary.
