Women Lost in Afghanistan – Thanks Joe
Make no mistake, the war in Afghanistan was a war between men and women. Women lost.
It didn’t have to be that way, President Trump had put conditions on leaving, part of that would have been some concessions on keeping the current government in power or at least with some influence in keeping a more modern outlook for women. Maybe he would have succeeded, maybe not. But Trump is a compassionate man, he could see what was going on, even if our mission there was hopeless.
But Joe Biden just gave up. His State Department understood nothing about the culture, the factions or the conditions on the ground. He asked for no concessions, in fact, he put himself at the mercy of the Taliban. It was ugly, it was incompetent.
But let’s step back a minute and look at the culture here. It is a Muslim culture. We seemed to see some progress in women’s rights and stature in the Kabul community. The vaunted women’s robotics team at the University, girls accepted as having the right to education, women playing roles in government, burkas not required. This should have stuck.
But over the last twenty years, boys were still going to Madrassas being trained in Sharia laws and principles. By some estimates over 2 million boys were educated in this manner in that time frame, in a country of only 38 million.
In essence and in fact, this was a battle between men and women.
Why did the Afghani army just give up? Very simple.
- The numerical and weapons advantages touted by the Biden administration were a myth. It wasn’t 375,000 to 175,000 as the Biden Administration told the American people. It was 375,000 lukewarm soldiers with no will to fight against 175,000 soldiers supported by 2 million indoctrinated military aged males willing to provide assistance, logistics and more fighting men at any time they were needed. Our military on the ground knew this, the CIA knew this, and any analyst worth his salt knew this. Somehow the State Department didn’t.
- The soldiers in the military had nothing to lose by surrendering. Remember the Afghani military is made up of men. They do not suffer the brunt of Sharia law, and in fact, they have been indoctrinated that women are inferior and should be kept in servitude.
- The soldiers had nothing to gain by fighting even if they could win. If they fought and won, what would be the advantage to them? From their limited perspective, a U.S. style society may benefit women, but it also puts them in competition with them. It gives women choices, and they are less likely to choose a soldier as a mate. They are better off letting their parents bargain and trade for them for a wife.
These same arguments apply to the male civilians in power. They had nothing to lose, and everything to gain by allowing the Taliban to take over. And most of them would not really have a choice anyway since the military refused to fight.
And in 21 years, we did nothing to change their perceptions, we did nothing to provide support for a more modern Kabul. Their education system and economic system are the same as before, and perception of women has not changed for 90% of men.
Now we hear the cries of Afghani women to the men of the Western World. They have tasted freedom, they want to be rescued from the culture that is about to engulf them.
Among their own men, the “beta” males are the only ones on their side, the “alphas” are all indoctrinated to prefer their servitude. Western men are not answering.
Sorry, ladies. We screwed up. And Joe Biden put the final nail in your coffin.
Nooooo! The commiecrats are champions of women. Yeah right
What did Trump have in place to make this better?
“It didn’t have to be that way, President Trump had put conditions on leaving, part of that would have been some concessions on keeping the current government in power or at least with some influence in keeping a more modern outlook for women.”
Revisionist history? Because Trump, in February 2020 agreed with the Taliban while excluding the Afghan government from any of the negotiations showing the Taliban what Trump thought of the Afghan government. The Trump agreement freed 5,000 imprisoned Taliban soldiers. May 1, 2021, would be the final withdrawal. As far as I can tell, the Trump administration did noting else except reduce our Afghan military presence from 13,000 to 2,500 as the Taliban continued to attack post Trump’s agreement, prisoner release, and troop withdrawal. Yet Trump did nothing after the attacks.
Trump set the plan, did nothing to further the plan, was attacked by a Taliban that refused to follow the plan, removed over 80% of our troops, and I’m sorry —– you wanted Joe to save the women? With what? The 2,500 remaining soldiers? Did you want to add some more? I mean if you are squawking about this, what would you have whined about if Biden said we needed more time, we needed more troops?
Trump said our withdrawal would depend on ““Taliban’s action against al-Qaeda and other terrorists who could threaten us,” as Trump removed 80% of our soldiers, release, 5,000 Taliban fighters, and as the Taliban attacked Afghan forces, worked with Al Quaeda, and basically flipped Trump off. And you wanted Joe to do what? Save the women?
In March of 2020, Afghanistan said this about Trump’s plan: “Freeing Taliban prisoners is not the authority of America but the authority of the Afghan government.” But Trump did it anyway. A week later the Taliban attacked and we responded with airstrikes.
And so on and so on. The rest of Trump’s mess is detailed here: https://www.factcheck.org/2021/08/timeline-of-u-s-withdrawal-from-afghanistan/ Perhaps you can tell us what Trump had in place to make the outcome better, or even different?
You folks are great at saying there’s a problem, fantastic at saying Trump had it all solved, but history seems to say different.
Nada
Nothing
Zip
5,000 prisoners released.
Face it. Your retarded president is a joke and a failure. Trump was going to listen to the generals, not a coup against America made up of deep state haters of our country The deep state and shadow government caused Trump to not be in his rightful place in the White House. No, I can’t prove it. I would if I could. But the commiecrats can’t prove their lies and deception
You can’t prove it because it’s not true. Trump was an idiot, and detroyed his own chances at re-election, from the first day he was in office.
It’s weird, but you’re like a troll on a website that’s basically for your kind of reader (conspiracy theorists and nutjobs)… It’s like you’re trolling yourself. The more you write, the kookier you sound, and nobody has to lift a finger while you do it.

You know, it’s weird, but you’re like a troll on a website that’s meant for your type of reader (conspiracy theorists and nutjobs). It’s like you’re trolling yourself. The more you say, the kookier you sound, and nobody has to lift a finger to make you irrelevant. You should go seek out a website for right-wing nationalists or Nazis or the Klan – there, everyone would agree with you. And maybe you should go seek therapy too.
But he only had to post once.
If trump had cared if the Afghani Government had an air of legitimacy, why did he NOT include them when he met with the Taliban to surrender ? It’s a universal consensus that by excluding the Afghan Government in trump’s surrender negotiations, he discredited their legitimacy and essentially neutered them.
The goal set by trump was to get out, he bragged that it couldn’t be undone. Biden got us out. Trump said he would get us out of these “ Forever Wars”, and that he did! He abandoned the Kurds, he pulled out of Iraq, he laid the ground work for getting out of Afghanistan. I’ll give him credit for that at least.
As if the last 5 articles blaming Biden for Trump’s surrender weren’t enough, Old Joe Gilbertson has to weigh in with one more…
OK, let’s repeat this one more time… Trump surrendered to the Taliban. He negotiated it without the Afghan government being part of the talks. He instructed the Afghan army to release 5000 prisoners, including the current leadership of the Taliban. His only condition was “we’ll leave, you can have anything you want”. He (or at least Stephen Miller) stopped all immigration from Afghanistan. Trump set the pullout for May 1st of this year, and as of the end of his term on Jan 20th, had done exactly NOTHING.
So, that is what Biden had to deal with. Biden managed to get 123,000 people out. Yes, a few stragglers were missed, but A) they had LOTS of warning, and B) it’s a war zone. Shit happens. Any American who had any brains and wanted to get out had at least a year of warning. Trump screwed all the Afghans that helped the US, Biden helped as many as he could. Trump fucked it up, Biden salvaged what he could.
OK, so now you want to blame the plight of women in Afghanistan on Biden, who inherited the problem and got us out of there in 6 months. By the way, when has Trump EVER done anything to improve the lives of women, in Afghanistan, the US, or anywhere else in the world? But that’s a different topic.
We did not go there to convert all the Muslims to Christianity. It’s unfortunate that the Afghan army cut and ran, but the only surprise was that it happened in a couple of weeks instead of year or two. But then again, when Trump cut the government out of the talks with the Taliban, they didn’t have much faith in the solution. They really had no idea what else Trump gave away to the Taliban. After all, look what Trump did with Syria, just pulled out from one day to the next, and screwed everyone there. I don’t doubt that the Afghan army, either as a group or as individuals made their own side deals with the Taliban (“Fuck this shit! Trump surrendered and the government stopped paying me… don’t shoot, we’ll give you the keys to the city ourselves)”
Anyway, Biden still has an ace up his sleeve. The international community holds the key to the banks and foreign aid. A harsh word from him and they get nothing. The US has also enabled a whole generation of women in Afghanistan to get an education. They were integrated into fabric of the economy, while a large portion of the men went off to be soldiers. The Taliban is now looking to form a government and take over the management of their country. If they have an ounce of brain matter between them they’re going to figure out that they can’t do it without the women. If they try to cut women out, they’ll have a lot of starving people on their hands. They may have won the war, but they’re still a minority that will be accountable to the rest of the people.
The US can’t even get many of its own citizens to respect the rights of women (just look at the draconian abortion law in Texas) – how are they going to impose women’s rights on a completely different culture, with a different majority religion, in a different country? Biden was right to pull us out, as quickly as possible, and not delay the inevitable conclusion. At least he had the balls to do it. Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld had the chance to accept surrender from the Taliban a year and a half after the US invaded Afghanistan, and didn’t take it. We could have gotten out, and Afghanistan would have had the last 18 and a half years to figure out their own rules. Now they have another chance at self government, except the US won’t be there to screw it up. They can learn from their own mistakes. So, shut up, and let them run their own damned country. The “original sin” goes back to Bush and his war-mongering cronies, and we should have learned well before this that “nation building” doesn’t work.
Brain dead Biden has demolished EVERYTHING he has touched, impeach the bastard before there is NO America left
I’ve been saying that for a looong. time , this man is demented & doesn’t. Know how to run our country !
It’s time he step down cbwfore ge creates more problems
for this country ! Other countries are laughing at us & at him it’s so embarrassing . !
Impeach Biden the Clown NOW due to his incompetence!!
Damn, 200 more Americans just got out. 200 more Americans will live. The Taliban let them go. Biden got them to do it. Damn it all to hell.
Oh man, this is not going to go well for Trumpers…… Very bad day for them, Biden did good. Again. Damn.
But what about the Afghan women?
Yeah, like what have YOU ever done for Afghan women? When you pulled 7,500 of our 10,000 or so troops last year, did that help the Afghan women?
When we told the Taliban we were leaving in a year, last year, before the election, did that help the Afghan women?
When we excluded the Afghan government, including the women, from control of their country, from participation as equals at the Taliban table, did that help the Afghan women?
And where were you then? Probably kneeling before the Trump Tower saying “it’s all Antifa’s fault, it’s all AOC’s fault, Pelosi, Pelosi….” No, YOU never did anything for the Afghan women during 2020, you left them in the dust long before Biden.
