Afghanistan Will Become a Haven for Terrorists again says TOP AMERICAN GENERAL

As the 20th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks looms, a top US General warns that Joe Biden’s failures in Afghanistan will lead to that beleaguered country once again being fertile ground for terrorists and terrorist activities aimed at the United States.

In an exclusive television interview with Fox News’s Jennifer Griffin in Ramstein, Germany, General Mark Milley was asked if he thought America would be safer now that our forces have completely withdrawn from Afghanistan.

“My military estimate is…that the conditions are likely to develop of a civil war,” Milley said.  “I don’t know if the Taliban is going to [be] able to consolidate power and establish governance.”

The general’s premonition was followed by his concern that the terrorist organizations could use the disorder in Afghanistan as an opportunity to find gains.

“I think there’s at least a very good probability of a broader civil war and that will then, in turn, lead to conditions that could, in fact, lead to a reconstitution of al-Qaeda or a growth of ISIS or other myriads of terrorist groups,” he told Fox News.

“You could see a resurgence of terrorism coming out of that general region within 12, 24, 36 months. And we’re going to monitor that,” he added.

The general articulated that he feared that maintaining US security and intelligence gathering in the region will be a more difficult task now that the US has no official presence inside Afghanistan.

“We’ll have to reestablish some human intelligence networks, etc.,” he said. “And then as opportunities present themselves, we’ll have to continue to conduct strike operations if there’s a threat to the United States.”

President Biden has said the US will continue to counter terrorism through “over horizon” capabilities by relying on military airstrikes instead of using ground-based operations.

Milley told Fox News, “it is possible to do it.” But added, “We’re going to have to maintain very, very intense levels of indicators and warnings and observation and ISR [Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance] over that entire region.

That Afghanistan became a TERRORIST HAVEN is thanks to President Reagan: It was a sprouting Islamic State that killed the Kingdom, but the Terrorist accumulation came thanks to US weapons and financing in a doubtful fit of blindness: The Soviet were descending – the Islamic States GROWING! Whom would a thinking person support – apart from the positive things that the Soviets brought to Afghanistan, like girls’ schools, women’s training and jobs, demoting the Mullahs from power, general modernization (even if not to US/EU standard), grassroots democracy cultivating, etc, etc. – “the best time women ever had in Afghanistan”, as a teacher told the BBC.
But who did the USS support? – Like in Iran (the Shah against the elected Prime Minister, in 1953), in the Philippines (Marcos for Decades), in South Korea (Military Dictators, until mid 80ies), in Vietnam (Diem and others), in Iraq (Saddam Hussein, until he went astray), in Chile (Pinochet, after Chile’s 9/11 in 1973), in South Africa (the Apartheid tyrants), in South and Central America (dozens of Military Dictators and torturers).
And now, in Obama’s age, we still have remnants of his ISIS allies from the Saudi side, and a million dead bodies to account for (like Adolf H.)

Terrorists can also use any of the other dozens of Countries that the US has destabilized over the last 50 years of horrid foreign policy. At least we won’t be losing blood and treasure over there anymore.

Afghanistan had nothing to do with 9-11. The attackers were all Saudis. Just because their leader fled to Afghanistan didn’t make it responsible for the terrorist attack. To think that it will “go back” to being a hotbed of terrorism is just ridiculous.

The Afghanis do face a civil war, and they’re in for a long period of instability. If terrorism does come from there, you can thank Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld’s meddling attempt at nation building.

Joe, thank god Biden had the balls to stand up to the Republican war hawks and their puppet masters, the military industrial complex.
Now if America can FINALLY learn the lessons of the pat and STOP interfering with other Sovereign nations affairs, the entire world would be better off

      AND ADD REAGAN!
He preferred the upcoming and growing, Saudi-sponsored, Islamic State over talks to a retreating and willing Soviet block that defended our values!

Oh no, the Taliban let another 100 Americans fly out. Bad day for Republicans…. What’s wrong with the narrative?
