Susan Rice, the former Obama national security adviser has suggested that she has been a victim of political criticism due to her race and gender.
When asked by New York Magazine why she thinks she has been a target of the Trump administration, she responded that “I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about this. What do you think?…I do not leap to the simple explanation that it’s only about race and gender. I’m trying to keep my theories to myself until I’m ready to come out with them. It’s not because I don’t have any.”
She continues to imply that the president and his team are disrespectful to women.
“But Rice mentioned other prominent female figures – like Hillary Clinton and Condoleezza Rice – who faced “ad hominem” attacks, suggesting a correlation,” writes Fox News.
Several politicians have condemned Rice after it was reported that she attempted to “unmask” some Trump transition officials named in foreign surveillance records.
“Rice told Judy Woodruff on PBS on March 22 that she “knew nothing” about the unmasking of Trump associates. But weeks later on MSNBC, she admitted she sometimes sought out the identities of Trump associates who communicated with foreigners, a request known as “unmasking” in the intelligence community,” writes Fox News.
“I leaked nothing to nobody,” said Rice to MSNBC.
After this, in an interview with New York Times‘ Glenn Thrush, President Trump said he believed Rice committed a crime.
As for the criticism she received for Benghazi, she isn’t sure why she was a target.
“Why me? Why not Jay Carney, for example, who was then our press secretary, who stood up more?” said Rice.
The New York Magazine‘s author also alluded to race and gender being an issue and noted that Carney “isn’t an African-American woman, of course.”
“All of her major achievements —the non-binding Paris Climate Accord, the new relationship with Cuba, and the Iranian nuclear deal—have been walked back by Trump. And she thinks that’s a personal jab at her and not simply a new administration rolling back hastily made and ineffective policy,” writes Heatsreet.
Author’s note: Gender and race may have helped her get her job, but it’s not the reason she sucked at it. She likely committed illegal acts in helping Obama spy on Trump. Not to mention, she was the national security advisor during one of the worst foreign relations fiascos in recent history. She lied about the Benghazi terror attack and blamed some obscure video rather than terrorism. Pulling the race card is just an attempt to deflect from her failures.
Editor’s note: This is too riich for words. The FORMER NATIONAL SECURITY advisor is hiding behind racism and sexism. The fact is this woman is a criminal and should be in jail.
