Anyone who keeps up with American politics knows that California is an entity onto its own.
It is the most liberal state and has created a state model that reminiscent of European Socialism. As a result, they have a huge budget deficit and budget short falls not to mention to the deteriorating effects of their own policy on economic growth and stability. One of the key reasons for this erosion of state solvency is their policy on illegal immigration. The California government, a near one-party state, has all but made being a citizen of the United States the equivalent to a rewards card at your local food market. Anyone can come in and immediately gain access to California’s, and through them the United States’, welfare apparatus.
Illegal immigrants are given residency and the ability to work, but are not expect to pay taxes. They work jobs that have seen wages deteriorate for American citizens, particularly in the agricultural center. They are provided free health care, birth control, education, and access to all civil and public services free of charge. When you add it all together, being an illegal immigrant is now superior to being an actual tax paying citizen. So, it should come as no surprise that the California University System is now limiting the number of out-of-state students to attend university in the state while excluding from this cap the illegal immigrants.
The California Legislature recently put pressure on the California Board of Regents to decrease the number of out-of-state students entering Californian Universities. As a result, the Board of Regents pass Policy 2109, which puts a cap of 18% population at universities from other states. However, due to Assembly Bill 540, which states that illegal immigrants are to be given resident status for tuition purposes, this cap has no effect of people coming across the border and gaining access to these universities while American citizens are denied.
This is clear discrimination against American citizens so says Kyle Olson of the Education Action Group. He stated that, “The UC system, like many others around the country, is routinely given preferential treatment to illegal aliens at the expense of American students, many of whom are attending at the great sacrifice of their parents.”
Why is California, already in a budget crisis and dealing with economic diaspora and a crumbling infrastructure, want to exclude out-of-state students? Anyone who remembers college knows that out-of-state tuition is significantly higher than in-state tuition. You would think they would happily accept some extra cash. Why don’t they?
The reason behind this is the reasoning the Democrats have always had towards illegal immigration: the purchase of votes with tax payer money. Every illegal immigrant who comes to California is given an identification identical to citizens’. Add to this the fact that they don’t even bother checking ID’s and you have a perfect set up to saturate the electorate with illegitimate votes.
Has anyone ever stopped and pondered the following questions? Why are fraudulent votes always for the Democrat candidate? Why do dead people always vote Democrat? Why do states that don’t have ID laws always go blue? The Democrats would say it’s because Republicans suppress minority voting but we all know that be misdirected hogwash. In actuality, it’s to mask the nation’s out of control illegal voting bloc made up of illegal immigrants completely dependent on Democrat-sponsored welfare programs, paid for by the rest of us of course, to ensure that they feel an inseparable loyalty to the Democrat Party and come out in their support. This is just another handout to keep them in line.
These universities are also bastions of Liberal ideology, ensuring that these illegal immigrants are well saturated with liberal ideology and ensuring that this unbreakable loyalty is generational. This is on top of the fact that once again Democrats have placed their continuous power control on the backs of the American citizens while relegating them to second place behind individuals who broke the law, cut the line, and give little back to the collective pot illegal immigrants. That is Anti-American bias and discrimination at its finest.
