Hillary Clinton has won all states except Missouri in today’s primaries, by wide margins in the most populous states.
Ms. Clinton won Florida 64% to 33%, North Carolina 55% to 40% and Ohio at 57% to 42%. Illinois was much closer at 51% to 49%
Sanders appears to have won Missouri, 49.7% to 49.3%, with 98% of the votes counted.
More importantly Mrs. Clinton picked up a massive number of delegates, and leads the delegate count 1134 to 792, excluding superdelegates.
If you assume the superdelegates are reliable, then Mrs. Clinton only needs 33% of the remaining 2346 delegates to get to 2383 delegates and win the nomination outright. With 53% of the remainder, she will win regardless of the superdelegates.
We believe this is an easy lift for Mrs. Clinton. She won over 60% of the delegates today. But even with a major meltdown, the math says Hillary would likely still win the nomination.
