Shut Down the Oktoberfest in Munich? – Muslims Attack German Culture

If you read my article on Tuesday about the Syrian refugee crisis in Germany, you know that German citizens feel threatened not only economically, but culturally as hundreds of thousands of Muslims threaten to replace German culture with Islam. Their fears are well founded because just this week a Muslim began a petition in an attempt to cancel Oktoberfest.

As October draws near, Munich, Germany, and other parts of the world prepare for a tradition of drinking and merrymaking that has been celebrated since the 1800s.

Apparently Germany’s new occupants find Oktoberfest to be offensive and “anti-Islamic.” Morad Almuradi, currently living in the Netherlands, started a petition to try and force the city of Munich to put a stop to the age-old, 16-day festival that is Oktoberfest.

“Dear City council of Munich,” he writes, “I am writing this letter to bring to your attention something that I and many Muslims believe is unfair and requires attention. I would like to inform you that the Oktoberfest is an intolerant and anti-Islamic event. We tried to ignore the event, but there are too many un-Islamic acts done at the Oktoberfest.”

The unbelievable letter continues, saying that “Muslims can not tolerate this un-Islamic event because it offends us and all Muslims on the Earth. We are requesting the immediate cancellation of the upcoming Oktoberfest event.”

Almuradi ends his letter thusly: “The cancellation of the Oktoberfest event will help refugees not to forget their Islamic history. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Forget their history? I fail to see how forgetting one’s history is a danger after having been gone less than one year.

If civil war were threatening German citizens, I doubt Syria would open its arms to refugees. The fact that a group of people whose lives have been saved by Germany have turned around so quickly and are already trying to impose Islamic will on German traditions simply blows my mind.

I sincerely hope that Almuradi’s letter doesn’t represent the mindset of all Syrian refugees. Last time we checked, the ridiculous petition had less than 300 signatures. Meanwhile, Munich Mayor Dieter Reiter, trembles with rage as other cities refuse to help. And now he has to deal with this insane attempt to change German culture!
