Earth Day (April 22) has once again flushed the global warming activists
out of hiding, and this time they are spearheaded by the Obama administration
with a push to act in regards to climate change.
projection map appeared yesterday on the Whitehouse Twitter showing what will
happen if we do not act now to reduce carbon emissions. From the beginning,
scientists and activists have used projections to illustrate what may be a violent,
hot future. But these images are nothing but hypotheses … “scientific guessesâ€
that are allegedly based on measured data.
As you can see in
the above image, the comparison between action and inaction is drastic. Take a
look at the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) website and you will see more
realistic images, maps showing that the temperature rise predicted in Obama’s
chart is only expected as a result of high emissions – and not until the end of
When asked for the
source of the map that appeared on Twitter, the Whitehouse predictably
abstained from responding. Good thing Obama had a backup plan in case the
exaggerated graphic wasn’t enough to scare the population into action.
Using the Florida
Everglades as a backdrop, Obama delivered an Earth Day speech to press his
agenda for climate change. Standing near the entrance to Everglades National
Park, Obama appealed to the audience by referring to the unique Florida
ecosystem as the “economic engine for the South Florida tourism industry.â€
Everglades is indeed vital to the state of Florida in regards to the state’s
fresh water supply, the location was an odd pick for Obama. But his visit to
Florida wasn’t just about the Everglades, it was about giving a speech in Jeb Bush
and Marco Rubio’s backyard and strengthening the Democratic party in the eyes
of a state that is already feeling the effects of climate change.
And of course Obama
couldn’t resist the opportunity to insult Florida Gov. Rick Scott when he
said, “Simply refusing to say the words ‘climate change’ doesn’t mean that
climate change isn’t happening.â€
