The New York Post published a report over the weekend revealing the “secretive Washington firm” that was behind the Trump dossier. Evidently, it was exposed that the firm Fusion GPS that leaked the dossier has strong ties to Hillary Clinton and Democrats.
The firm is now being investigated by the Senate Judiciary Committees. Earlier this month, the Senate Judiciary Committee threatened to subpoena the firm after it refused to provide records about who funded and commissioned the dubious Trump Dossier.
So how is the firm connected to pro-Clinton democrats? The Post reveals several.
“Fusion GPS describes itself as a “research and strategic intelligence firm” founded by “three former Wall Street Journal investigative reporters.” But congressional sources say it’s actually an opposition-research group for Democrats, and the founders, who are more political activists than journalists, have a pro-Hillary Clinton, anti-Trump agenda,” writes The Post.
The Post also reported that an unidentified Clinton ally funded the spying on Trump initiative, where it hired a long-retired British spy to find dirt the Trump camp.
“More, federal records show a key co-founder and partner in the firm was a Hillary Clinton donor and supporter of her presidential campaign. In September 2016, while Fusion GPS was quietly shopping the dirty dossier on Trump around Washington, its co-founder and partner Peter R. Fritsch contributed at least $1,000 to the Hillary Victory Fund and the Hillary For America campaign, Federal Election Commission data show. His wife also donated money to Hillary’s campaign,” writes The Post.
“These guys had a vested personal and ideological interest in smearing Trump and boosting Hillary’s chances of winning the White House,” said an unnamed source privy to the dossier probe.
Fusion GPS was also a client of Planned Parenthood and was instructed to investigate pro-life activists in protest of the organization.
Back in 2012, the firm was hired by Democrats to do research (aka dig up negative material) on Republican nominee Mitt Romney.
Senate investigators are allegedly looking into if the firm had any connection to former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who is being investigated for attempting to hinder the FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s private email server.
Although the Trump dossier ignited the Trump-Russia collusion narrative, all major news organizations choose to not report on it. However, the FBI, Congress and the CIA have acknowledged the dossier in the Russia investigations.
The dossier (if it even exists…) has repeatedly been said to be full of falsehoods.
The dossier is “riddled with errors in fact and questionable sourcing,” said Paul Sperry, author of The Post article on Fox & Friends. “This was a Democrat operation from top to bottom.”
Author’s note: We called this all along. Even hyper-liberal media outlets passed on the “dossier” and they are desperate for Trump-smearing content. Where the dossier was sourced from just proves it was merely a tool created by democrats to diminish the Trump campaign.
Editor’s note: It was clear to me the “dossier” was fake. Anyone who knows intelligence would see that the narrative was exceedingly unlikely. Yet the FBI, who should have known better, paraded it around, and the media made a huge deal of it. This was an obvious attempt to manipulate the media and illegally influence the election. If Mueller is investigating anything it should be this.
