19 people are dead and another 50 are injured after a suspected suicide bomb during an Ariane Grande concert in Manchester in northern England. According to reports, this took place in the foyer off the Manchester Arena, just outside of the concert.
British Prime Minister Theresa May said that police are attempting to establish details. She said, “We are working to establish the full details of what is being treated by the police as an appalling terrorist attack.”
British Transport Police reported: “Officers are at Manchester Arena following reports of an explosion within the foyer area of the stadium at 10.30pm this evening.
“Emergency services are at the scene and we are working to establish more information regarding the explosion and will provide further updates as soon as possible.”
The arena, the surrounding blocks and the underground station below the arena were evacuated so that police could search for additional explosives. It is often the case that when a terrorist bomb goes off, another one is set to explode shortly thereafter to kill onlookers at the scene.
Author’s note: Unlike other incidents in recent months where politically correct authorities refused to acknowlege radical Islamic terrorism, the Brits are not messing around. They identified it immediately as terrorism and are bringing out the proper resources to handle such a matter. They have not said “radical islam yet but you know that’s what they are thinking.
