After being forced by the Sharia court to share her address with her estranged husband she was hiding from, a young British-Pakistani woman was reportedly raped and attacked by him.
Even though the woman had already obtained a legal divorce through the British courts, she was pressured to seek a Sharia divorce.
Evidently, the Sharia court demanded that she reconcile with her violent husband. According to MailOnline, he then threatened to kill her, kidnapped her children and then raped her. She decided to get an abortion following the rape.
During their arranged marriage he was both sexually and physically abusive. He eventually left her for another woman and planned to move to the U.S. She saw this as her time to get free and filed for divorce through the British legal system.
The court also awarded her a restraining order to protect herself and her family when he returned in the UK.
To add insult to injury, he started to spread lies about her in the community. He told a group that she was a “loose women being pimped out by her widowed mother” at a prayer meeting at her local east London mosque.
The imam pressured her to appear to the local Sharia court. She decided to do so to avoiding shaming her devout Muslim mother.
However, the Sharia court judges disrespected her and refused to listen to her explanation.
“The court was incredibly difficult. My mother and I were repeatedly told to be silent. None of the information from the civil proceedings, including non-molestation orders, was admissible in the Sharia court. When my ex-husband said he wanted a reconciliation, the judges said I should comply,” said the woman to MailOnline. “I tried to tell them about the violence and abuse I had suffered throughout the marriage, but was advised to be quiet. My mother was also silenced.”
Instead, they asked her about her sexual relationship with him and where she was now living.
This is just one of the many Sharia courts secretly governing across Britain and this isn’t the first time that their ruling conflicted with British laws.
Allegedly, these Sharia courts and councils often refused to grant religious divorces to women who are victims of abuse from their husbands.
This just shows how the Sharia Law does not effectively assimilate into Western cultures. Not only is it oppressive, but it doesn’t recognize the law of the land in Western countries.
Ironically, the frontrunner for the DNC, Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., has had ties to the Nation of Islam group. He once identified with Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam.
“Within days, Michael Brodkorb, author of a Republican blog called MinnesotaDemocratsExposed.com, dug up two articles that Ellison had written under the name of Keith Hakim for the University of Minnesota student newspaper when he was in law school there in 1989 and 1990,” writes The Washington Post.
“The first article defended Farrakhan against accusations of anti-Semitism. The second called affirmative action a “sneaky” form of compensation for slavery, suggesting instead that white Americans pay reparations to blacks.”
