The leaks of the DNC documents keep bringing some unsavory practices by the party to light. The latest leak by hacker “Guccifer 2.0” shows records for over 100,000 DNC donors, whereas these individuals were rewarded with high level federal positions.
The second highest donor was Julius Genachowski who was awarded the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission after donating almost 3.5 million.
The New York Observer, owned by Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, is referring to this correlation between donor and appointed federal roles as pay-for-play.
Here is the list of the highest donors and their positions.
1 Matthew Berzun, Ambassador to UK- donated 3,503,080
2 Julius Genachowski, Former chairman to FCC- donated 3,494,919
3 Frank Sanchez, Under secretary of commerce- donated 3,415,000
8 Kirk Wagner, Ambassador to Singapore- donated 2,330,000
9 Alan Solomont, Ambassador to Spain- donated 2,328,500
11 John Roos, Ambassador to Japan- donated 2,030,150
12 Nicole Avant, Ambassador to Bahamas- donated 2,008,550
13 Eileen Chamberlain Donahoe, Ambassador to the UN- donated 2,000,625
16 Steve Westly, CFO of California- donated 1,814,849
17 Don Beyer, Ambassador to Switzerland- donated 1,733,169
21 Don Gips, Ambassador to South Africa- donated 1,547,100
22 Howard Gutman, Ambassador to Belgium- donated 1,541,050
24 Cynthia Stroum, Ambassador to Luxembourg – donated 1,481,487
27 Mark Gilbert, Ambassador to New Zealand- donated 1,429,750
31 Norm Eisen, Ambassador to Czech Republic- donated 1,264,900
37 Bruce Oreck, Ambassador to Finland- donated 1,136,613
43 Tony West, deputy Attorney General- donated 1,058,970
45 Bill Kennard, Ambassador to EU- donated 1,052,405
DNC was quick to deny the leaks authenticity.
“We have been anticipating that an additional batch of documents stolen by Russian agents would be released,” said Donna Brazile, DNC interim chair in a statement on the DNC website. “Our legal team is now in the process of reviewing these private documents, and attempting to confirm their authenticity.”
Then they went as far to say the DNC was a “victim of a crime” and even blamed Trump.
“There’s one person who stands to benefit from these criminal acts, and that’s Donald Trump. Not only has Trump embraced Putin, he publicly encouraged further Russian espionage to help his campaign. Like so many of the words Trump has uttered this election season, his statements encouraging cybercrime are dangerous, divisive, and unprecedented,” said the statement.
This looks like some major deflecting to us.
Editor’s note: This is the primary reason to defeat Hillary Clinton. Over the past 25 years, the Clinton’s have virtually institutionalized the pay for play game with donors. If she wins again, I’m afraid we will revert to this permanently.
