It recently came out that Gov. Scott Walker did not finish college, but left during his fourth year.
It does not appear that Walker had attempted to cover up this fact, nor has he ever claimed that he does have a degree. It was simply not public knowledge. Walker has stated that he left college to pursue a full-time career, and like many others who do the same, he planned to finish college later but never did. Let there be no confusion: the governor chose to leave school; he was not expelled nor did he fail out. Walker stopped approximately one semester short of a Bachelor’s degree.
The typical college student takes about four classes each semester, which means that Walker took abour four fewer classes that someone with a degree. This raises the question of how much knowledge Walker is missing due to the one semester’s loss. The revelation has also raised questions of a college degree’s value in real life. As several newscasters have pointed out, Obama has an Ivy League degree.
Donald Trump claims that this is the latest instance of liberal bias in the media. It’s a ‘double standard,’ according to Trump. He points to the lack of information regarding Obama’s college years. Walker does not seem to be hiding anything about his college days- we know that he was often late to French class- but he appears to have been a good student during his 3.5 years there.
